Looks like fans of Indiana and SMU are going to have to pony up some cash to buy some official player's merchandise so they can afford to bring in better players.
 
They had plenty of blowouts when it was 4 and even 2. Playoff will probably go to 16 in two years. Kinda sucks now that seeds 5-8 get a home game but 1-4 do not.
Yeah it seems dumb at the cost of the extra game, but then are you talking having games on campus over new years?

Probably not because the bowl games (some of them) still mean something. The other NCAA divisions had the advantage of building their playoff formats from scratch.
 
For the first time in the history of the Expanded College Football Playoff, a road team has scored before being down by 3 possessions.
