I doubt anybody is trading for him. He's bad at offense, has been mostly bad at defense, is always injured, has zero toughness or sandpaper to his game, and is locked up to a longterm contract.

The Sabres will have to buy him out if they want him gone.
It's a weird league and there are weird things that happen in trades sometimes, but I don't care if no one wants him you can buyout him. I'd rather take a vet like Cole/Dumoulin/Martinez on the third pair or give Johnson/Novikov a chance than look at Samuelsson.

This team needs a captain.
We have a captain and you can't take C away from Dahlin when you've already given it to him, you should have thought about it earlier.

This team just needs other players, I bet Dahlin and Benson would have gone after Noesen if they were on the ice at the time. But Sammy didn't, Zucker allegedly didn't see who it was, Power is afraid of his own shadow.

Maybe I am old fashion I guess where the captain is the one standing up for the players or at least instilling this in the team. Probably its changed in the last 20 years where the captain is just the best player on the team

Again, I don't know, but he wasn't on the ice. He responded to Noesen in the first period when he took an elbow to the head and he threw Noesen to the ice. Ruff says they shouldn't have responded to that hit on Thompson because of the f***ing game we won. Even Rob Ray said that for some reason. But whoever was on the ice should have done it. Well, I don't agree that he was given a C just because of the game. But we don't have any vet with a long-term contract to give C to, Dahlin is essentially our vet, considering he's been on the team for 6-7 years already.

We don’t need Dahlin sitting in the box for 5 minutes at any point. What we should have is a real 4th liner who can bring the pain and go after the Devils on the next ES shift . If you respond right away you lose your PP but there was ample time to go after their top guys… we need a Barnaby type who WILL go after opponents top guys if they mess with ours and can also play as a legit NHLer…

A fourth liner isn't enough, you need a few of those guys, and Dahlin actually responded in the first period and sat for two minutes. The problem is Sammy is a coward and Power is afraid of his own shadow. And Ruff, with all that talk about winning... you can respond and still win the game.

3 wins a row? The heroic run to 9th place after the pressure is off and opposing teams play their backup goaltender 75% of the time against us, has begun! Adams and Pegula will point to this "good play" down the stretch as the reason not to make any significant moves before next season.

Rinse and repeat! Sabres hockey baybeeeeee
So true and in the summer Adams Will think we are so close for a playoff spot because of this and do nothing

- as far zucker goes, 1 year at a time is fine. More than that you are asking for LTIR bingo with him given his history

- for greenway, I think it depends on what he wants in terms of role. Hes a black hole offensively. Is he willing to get paid like a bottom six veteran forward? If I’m him I want to get moved to a playoff team and showcase myself and hope to get overpaid this summer.

We certainly do need more veterans throughout the lineup.

Agreed that I would try to get Zucker on a similar deal to what he signed initially. If he has a hard bargain on term, maybe a 2 year but I wouldn't go any further.

Greenway is an interesting situation. He is at most a 35 point player. With that said, his size and defensive ability is something I really like, and he is the type of guy to drop the gloves right away to defend a teammate. I prefer someone like Mcleod, so if the cost to bring Greenway back goes above $3M I think I'm out. Tough though, he is a great player in the bottom six.

We need two Greenways in the lineup, a replacement for Zucker if he doesn't sign and a top 6 C, that's what concerns the attack.

If I greenways agent I am asking for a trade and not signing. Teams are going to have cap space this summer and every year some grinder who had a big playoffs gets overpaid.

I’m not opposed to bringing him back but he should probably hit the market

Kulich almost got brushed by another Devil in the O-zone and may not have seen exactly what happened as he started toward the bench. Zucker was back in the neutral zone but turned toward the penalty box to cover a Devil, he didn't see it and you can tell right away he's confused. Samuelsson turned slightly toward Zucker when the hit happened but probably saw enough to at least give Noesen a hard time. Power was so far back in the D-zone he's not even on the screen, so who knows what he saw but we all know it wouldn't make a difference. I'm not for line brawls and honestly I think Noesen was half bracing for impact as opposed to head hunting, but he needed a response. This team is just apathetic in a so many ways, from the front office on down. Least likeable franchise I have ever paid attention to.

That was painful to watch. Sammy in particular was embarrassing. I expected it from Power, he is as soft as it gets.

Its the Lucic/Miller incident all over again
Even worse. The team atleast scrummed it up a bit, and fed Lucic a few face washes. This was utterly embarrassing. Sammy can take a f***ing hike. What a biotch. He's turned into a weasal. Disappointing to see.

Power, well, I could careless at this point if he's gone. He has immense potential, but I'm tired of looking at his face.

I'm not really going to excuse Kulich, either. He's young, but he's been in the AHL. He knows how this works. Dont even need to drop the gloves, kid. Just get the rah-rah going by cross checking him in the teeth.

This is the most embarrassing core I can remember. I remember past cores being soft, and past teams being bad, but a team being this bad AND this soft? Not sure Ive witnessed such a pitiful combo.

Is anyone tied to any of these players outside of Benson, Kulich, and Dahlin? Yuck.

I would be trading Alex Touch tomorrow if I was GM.
I've been on this band wagon for awhile. Please, please don't re-sign him. I dont trust his body, and he embodies a lot of what is wrong with the top-6.

VAN os looking for an impact forward. If EP is still in play, Tuch could be an enticing piece to them.

No way Adams trades Tuch, though. He's a leader for this team. A team that is putrid and butter soft. Puke.

And to add - league wide the skill level is up, and the goonery is down. I think most all hockey fans, and definitely the future fan base, is all for that...more skill and excitement and less knuckle-dragging. But...BUT...the league and officiating has just GOT to start doing something when guys get out of line. Players get into these "what should I do moments" because the refs are constantly dropping the ball with game management. Hartman was starting shit and going after Sens for about a full period or more before he finally slammed Stutzle's head into the ice. FCS sake how do the refs not do something more to send a clear message? Well, maybe because the league office is so absolutely pathetic with player discipline. Whatever the refs do, these guys are back on the ice next game ready to knuckle drag with no league consequences, and much less instant street justice from younger players around the league that want to play hockey more and fight less. If the league wants skill and less fighting or intentional injury scenarios, they need to start making a suspension worth a damn. 5-10 games min, up to all season for multiple offenses. Until then, NHL will keep being a joke...almost as bad as the Sabres are a joke franchise.

Adams will never trade 'local boy' Tuch. His zip code at birth has made him immune. When his name hit the rumor mill last year Adams met with the press to put cold water on it. This goes back to the 'players who want to be here' BS he pulled when he tried to blame Eichel/Reinhart/Risto for all the teams ills

Teams typically try not to favor the local market, some actively avoid it completely. because those players are typically harder to move when things go south.

I don't have a problem with keeping Tuch, but everything should be on the table this summer other. than maybe Dahlin. I certainly don't want to give Tuch an 8 year, massive extension this summer.

Sammy needs to be scratched for a few games.

He should be traded or scratched the rest of the year so we can buy him out in the summer. He might turn the corner, he's still young. I don't think its happening here, though.
