What about Power and Cozens plus a second.
For Pettersson, and Garland? No center. But I think it helps both teams.

Cozens can go, Power seems like a move we would really regret. If much rather try to find Power a partner.

I think we can safely stop talking about potential trades. Pegula simply doesn’t give two shits about any of it.

This is why I’m not rooting for any more wins.

I mean, that isn't ground breaking news. Generally when a team struggles and then starts winning, personnel changes are put on hold. Seems like some serious click bait. I am in the camp that Cozens, Peterka, Jokiharju and Samuelsson need to go.

Was meaning to say no right d
But I think it's a big plus for each. Desharnais included for another piece would be a great trade for each

At this point do we hope to lose and perhaps get a top 4 pick? Someone like Hagens or Schaefer is NHL ready?

This team isn't making the playoffs and picking 8-10 and waiting 2-3 years for that player to help this team is pointless.

Nonsense…anny other GM would be desperately trying to save the team at all costs in this scenario.

Buying out Samuelsson would be so incredibly stupid.

Because he has trade value, or you think he'll improve? He's never played close to a full NHL season (which will be true again this season for 4 in a row). He's only had stretches of good play, never consistent. His performance has been marginally better than Mike Weber or Zach Bogosian, except with way more draft capital and cap spaced dedicated to him.

I'm okay with keeping him considering the cap is going up, but mentally I'm just accepting he's a slightly overpaid 3rd pair defenseman. I would not blame the team for buying him out while the lower buy out number is still available.

I would like to trade 4-6 players from this team and add 5-6 new ones. I know it's unrealistic, idiot Adams and the same owner are still there, but that's just what I would like.

What about a low key guy like San Jose’s Jan Rutta? 6’3” 34 years old right shot

And I saw this tidbit:

“The Blackhawks traded him to the Tampa Bay Lightning on Jan. 11, 2019, and he worked his way into a regular role, often playing alongside Victor Hedman.”

Could be a low cost, big impact move to put next to Power.

Just spitballing now….

They keep winning…? When did this happen?

The Sabres are 6-5 since the losing streak ended.

I could see why a team like Detroit maybe put trade talks on hold (7 game win streak and 8-1 in their last 9 games). But not Buffalo.

kind of loses any sort legitimacy of one’s takes when they say stuff like. Not to mention the account sounds like a typical click-bait, bot, misinformation account.

My advice to everyone, get off social media, be surprised when moves are made, and then you will have something to actually talk about instead of hearing things 3rd to 10th hand accounts discussing hypothetical…

But then what are we going to do on here all day? It's too cold to go outside.

I can't stand it when people use the line "nobody is untouchable" because while technically true in reality it's absolute nonsense. For example if Edmonton offered McDavid for Dahlin then yeah, you do it. But that scenario has as much chance of happening as aliens landing on the roof of KBC tomorrow morning.

If only Buffalo had someone that was as good as McDavid to have an untouchable on it.

Unfortunately Adams is not a qualified employee.

Today I read how Utah GM Armstrong regularly call other GMs. He calls them and constantly asks about their best players, they of course say that they are unavailable or something like that. Some time ago he called Tampa and asked about Sergachev, they said no. And after some time, I don't know a year or six months, Tampa GM calls him and says are you still interested in Sergachev? That's how Sergachev went to Utah. It's just funny.

Trying to pair the eye test with analytics and watch some players with good reputations., especially defensively.

Dowd is first on the agenda and the thing that immediately stands out is general engagement. Plays like a dog, but also constantly scanning. Looking for space, looking for teammates, tracking opponents. I guess I don't watch single players too often which makes it harder to notice, but I feel like our guys don't play like that consistently. Will make a point to try to watch for it a bit more.

I know this is some random twitter account, and its validity probably isn't great....

But if the mindset is "well we are in last place in the conference but....we've won 6 out of 10, so everything is fine", probably tracks for the front office.

The plane has already crashed into the mountain this season. The minute the GM opened his mouth about palm trees and made excuses for the sad roster he put forward and how you don't make the playoffs in December, it was over.

Are you f'in kidding me? The Detroit Red Wings are ahead of us now? I haven't looked at the standings in a while. If Ottawa AND Detroit AND Montreal have pulled ahead of us, then I'll just...laugh maniacally!

Wings have had a nice bump from dropping Lalonde. Montreal has gotten some excellent goaltending out of Dobes after they sent Primeau down (not the only reason they are winning, but helpful).
