Read the Canucks board or at least the general one, they also talk about conflicts (not necessarily about accountable) and about his lazy defense. We don't need potential cancer in the locker room.

we don't need potential cancer in the room ? we just lost 13 in a row. there is a cancer. i'd rather have JT with all his "warts" than any forward on this team. guy hates losing so much so that he beefs with the highest paid player on his team when he plays like shit. yeah i want that guy. also in a vacuum if it was between JT and Pettersson I'm sure 100% of Gm would take JT if you want to win now.

Pettersson is a proven top 6 C who scores a lot of points and plays responsible hockey, that's enough for me.
So Severson was scratched recently in Columbus.. Not sure if it was injury related but a RD who played under Ruff. Could be one to watch.

Bad at defense, recently on the main boards a Columbus fan suggested Severson for Cozens or something like that. I told him what kind of defenseman we needed and he honestly told me Severson was not the right fit for us then. He was terrible paired with Werenski and overall did not succeed. And then this contract might look bad. I'd rather try to get someone like Spence, we just need a good complimentary player for Power. Like Fabbro was for Werenski, and Severson couldn't.

Still amazed that the US pilot version so, so, SO missed the mark with Joel McHale as the O'Dowd character and Aoyade playing Moss again.

I think it's tonight or tomorrow. Do you expect Adams to do anything? Maybe he'll try to replace Greenway with a similar player, but I don't expect much.

Not really, he will go into the trade deadline talking about how he is working the phones and then punt to the offseason an then rinse and repeat.
EDIT: Not to be all doom and gloom I do expect him to try and improve the team but 1st round pick is probably now off the table with top 5 in sight so the chances of a big trade happening is probably less than if we were fighting for a playoff spot.

Basically everything that Kreider does around the net relies on his physicality. None of his "tricks" work without his size(reach) and strength to establish positioning and impose his will.
None of that applies to players like Benson or Marchand.
Kreider could maybe teach Tage, Greenway and Cozens how to to play that role.
I was banging the drum to get Gavrikov when we had the chance. A ~$6m aav top 4 defensive stalwart is the piece this defense has been missing since before Adams arrived.
The Los Angeles Kings acquired Vladislav Gavrikov and Joonas Korpisalo from the Columbus Blue Jackets for Jonathan Quick, conditional 2023 first round pick and 2024 third round pick
Conditions
If Kings do not make 2023 playoffs, pick becomes 2023 second round pick and 2024 second round pick
We could have had him for 2x 2nds and a 3rd(or we ended the drought and it's costs us a 1st/3rd). Then we might have had to pay him $7mil a season to get him to stay. Oh well. Better than letting the cap space rot on the vine. I'd much rather overpay a top 4D by $1.0m-2.5m a season than overpay bottom pairing guys like Clifton, Lybushkin, Jokiharju and EJ by $1.0m-2.5m a season.
There's been at least 1 defensemen of his ilk traded every year since Adams became GM. He has acquired zero of them.

Marino, Jensen, Kovacevic (underrated player but Devils GM did his homework), Fabbro, Carrier. Adams... nothing
Bro, I keep expecting something from him, but nothing happens. First there was a mess with goalies and defense, I've been waiting for a top 4 RD for three years now and Kevyn doesn't itch. He hasn't added a single top 6 forward in years, except for Tuch in the Eichel trade. I don't even know what to expect from him anymore. I'd like some cheap purchase of potential diamonds that others don't see. At least that, low risk, high reward.

Terry can be impulsive, we'll see how things go in the future, but I think in the worst case there will be a new GM in the summer.

Bored, so I took a spin on puckpedia's features. There are a ton of centers and defensemen coming up as UFAs who have been kicked around as options on this board. Anyone looking to fill holes on the team could do so, if the player wants to sign and the team spends the money. More options than I thought.

Because the team showed who they really are in the 7-1 win. The 13 games before the win obviously aren't representative of the amazing team Adams has built so you can't take those into account.
