Soft is not a problem for me, smart, makes his teammates better, great player, and you will only think about the playoffs when you get there, this is not an argument for Buffalo until this team gets there. Last season, you said two seasons, he had a PPG+ if you take the last two seasons, when he also had problems with injurie. Does he have problems with the locker room? I saw that Miller has problems with the locker room, not Pettersson. He is also a friend of Dahlin and I doubt that Pettersson will have problems with the locker room in Buffalo, I still take such a player and I don't care whether you are happy with it or not, period.

Well what are you offering for him?
Power? I’m not sure why Vancouver would want him since they already have Hughes.
Cozens and change? Would make us even more wimpy as a roster, smarter but not exactly more resilient against anyone with mean intentions

Are you confusing me with Jame?

I was high on Juolevi based on his WJC play during his draft year. Guess what? So were NHL teams. Buffalo never got a chance to draft him.

I was in on Andersson as a buy low reclamation project.

I never thought Virtanen was Wilson. I never advocated trading Reinhart for OEL. I didn’t want to trade Reinhart at all.

I wasn’t crazy high on Krebs. I liked him. But the poster crazy high on Krebs was Jame.

But good try.

"I was in on Andersson as a buy low reclamation project" A 1st + Samuelsson + Laaksonen certainly isn't a buy low. You were extremely high on the guy. You can just admit it.

I'm really glad HFboards added a search by user post. Can now see when posters here are completely lying about their takes.

Kubalik + Berggren + 2024 BOS 1st + 2024 3rd

Did you accidentally mean Jokiharju + 11th? That would make more sense.

Fabbro is Joki 2.0

Waiver fodder always gets overrated on here

Well done, didn’t remember half of that.

It was pretty easy to go through your 900 ish posts. The most you go out on a limb are the above posts. You mostly take others opinions and sh$t on them. Way to go.

I’ll gladly take whatever my record is on players compared to whatever you throw out there. Which isn’t much.

Still doesn’t change my current opinions and why I think what I do. Merry Christmas

Well, they are looking for a PMD for the second pair. We have Byram and Power. I can easily trade Cozens, replace him with another physical player. His results continue to fall, and players like Pettersson are rarely available, especially without trade protection. At least I've seen Canucks fans interested in these figures.

You're really missing the point.

Nobody cares if you're wrong with a take. Everyone is wrong on here. Hockey is an unpredictable sport.

It's just when you come at discussions with the smugness of "I'm knowledgeable about hockey & I'm right" what do you expect? You list a few times you were right, but don't mention the countless times you were wrong.

Not that it matters, but the first one was very close to the actual trade. You're almost giving me props with that one.

@SundherDome I like the idea with Spence too. I suggested it before. But Power needs to get stronger and, despite his partner in defense, play better in defense himself.

I worked with an Australian military organization once. When we went into planning teams, I was warned about those who “cut the tall poppies.” People who came into groups with no real original ideas and just cut others down.

You joined this site in 2021 but went back four years before you joined to cherry pick times I was wrong. You say the “countless times” I was wrong. Did you take the time to go all the way back to 2009 and take a tally? You found 4 times I was wrong and highlighted it. Pretty disingenuous. Did you check to see when I was right, or just found 4 times I was wrong?

I came across as “smug” to you and you went back years to cut me down. I’ve been on this site for a long time. I don’t think many would characterize me as “smug.”

If I really wanted to be “smug” I could write a ton more about places I go and people I meet in the hockey world. Even more so with football. I don’t appeal to authority, just explain why I think the way I do and what influenced it. If that means I say “here’s what I learned from x person,” I say so. It leads to some good discussions.

You didn’t like what I wrote and thought I was being “smug,” and decided to cut me down, and put a pretty good effort in to do so. You might think that makes you look smart and me look dumb. Really, as people read this, they know exactly what they’re getting from you.

Der Jaegar is one of the most respectable posters on here.. can't say I have ever detected "smugness" in his posts.

This is just a weird pivot on the argument of whether Thompson, Peterka and Power have adequate hockey IQ.

You're probably my favorite member on this board in terms of trade ideas, who you target. And thinking outside the box. Im almost always in sync with your thoughts except when it comes to your hard on for zegras and sometimes overpaying lol (then again that makes you more authentic than someone posting random shitty proposals).

Its fricking xmas. If you got time to dig back that far for dirt on someone then idk what to say to that person.

Anyways not my pig not my farm. Hope you and yours have a great holiday!

You came into an argument all high & mighty with the patronizing "I was right about these guys" but low and behold you've been wrong a ton. Could've mentioned how much you shit on Montour. How high you were on Cal Foote. Some doozies in there. None of it matters though. You can go back and see me shitting on Stutzle. I was wrong. I could care less.

You seem to really care a lot about being perceived a certain way on here. That's why someone posting some pictures of old takes has got you upset. You want to be viewed as an expert, but the takes hurt that image a bit.

"I came across as “smug” to you and you went back years to cut me down. I’ve been on this site for a long time. I don’t think many would characterize me as “smug.”

I'm amazed at how you don't think responding to an argument with "I'm knowledgeable & I'm right" isn't smug.

YOU WENT BACK YEARS. Listen to yourself dude. It's embarrassing. Takes minutes to search your name & for takes to pop up. I'm glad they added the feature. So many posters that huff the smell of their own farts. Now we can see how "right" they've actually been.

Nobody cares. I have NHLers in my family. Some who have won multiple Stanley cups. I've been around hockey my entire life. None of that is relevant to the topic. If I said Dahlin was a poor IQ player I better show something to prove it. Not some lecture about how I went to dinner with Lindy Ruff a few times.

"You didn’t like what I wrote and thought I was being “smug,” and decided to cut me down, and put a pretty good effort in to do so. You might think that makes you look smart and me look dumb. Really, as people read this, they know exactly what they’re getting from you."

Again you take this stuff way too seriously. You got some criticism. Your retort was just personal irrelevant stories. You never showed anything why. No film. No metrics.

It's just how you operate on here. Very patronizing when someone disagrees with you.

Continued blame must go on GMKA for sticking him with Joker for another year. More delusion and incompetence and the reason players run to get the F out of here.

Doesn't lying need intention?
I am sure many change their mind about something and believe they always thought this way.

Jtm for peterka and byram
Have liked the player in the past, but weren't the rumors he has back issues that lead to his recent personal leave ? Also at 31, 6M salary, a ntc, and the likelihood we have less than 10% to make the playoffs, not really a good fit now.

They need a 2C and another Greenway type. Greenway is exactly what we need and I have stoked we got him but he always gets hurt. Genuinely believe, if he took an approach on elite conditioning, he might reduce some of these muscle injuries and increase his foot speed a bit.

Greenway Thompson Tuch
Cozens Xxxx Quinn
Benson Kulich Krebs
Malenstyn McLeod Xxxx

Lafferty/NAK

This would be nice but it leaves some talent to be desired if there is a top 6 injury.

I think you dangle Peterka for a top 4 RD or the 2C.
Kozak deserves to be up and in that 4th line as well much like Johnson in the bottom pair

They might be able to get something for Lafferty at the deadline unless the contract term/$ is detrimental. His pk has been disappointing here.

Believe me, I’m not upset. I also don’t care about status or being perceived a certain way. That’s your assumption. You wrote that I was smug and two posters immediately wrote they didn’t think you were right. The same would go for coming across as patronizing.

I’ve posted roughly 1K posts per year just based on the rough math. Going back 4 years meant you sifted through 4k posts. The feature shows the first few lines so you had to dig a bit. You were so intent on cutting me down that you took that time.

Good thing you’re on here to make sure no one gets too big for their britches. Everyone can see that now and knows what they’re getting into when you’re in the conversation. Merry Christmas
