I don't think there should have been any expectations that a deal was going to get done before the holiday freeze. Adams is pretty high on character and doing the "right things" which would most likely include not ripping someone away from their family before the holidays.
It's true...he likes helping other teams and landing players in sofr spots.
It was so sweet what he did for Okposo...sigh.

I feel I'm in the minority of thinking that Cozens shouldn't be moved until the offseason at the earliest.
I am still holding hope he breaks out, the last few weeks I've seen more of the way I want him playing than in the previous 10 months

I'm with you. Until they surround the kid with vets and set him up for success then you have no idea what he can become. Throwing out a bunch of kids on the ice and telling them to figure it the f*** out is stupid. And I'm someone that actually bought in when it worked in brief glimpses over the past couple years.

Cozens was actually trending on X earlier, and if you checked it out you'd see fans from 30 other fan bases trying to figure out a way to acquire him. That's should tell you everything there is to know. Our perception of our own players is warped because we suck.

That being said, we need to do something fix the roster, there's too many fragile kids and it's broken. Quinn is issue #1 for me,I can't figure out wtf happened to this kid. He showed flashes of rare talent.

I think Quinn will come around. It's Peterka I'm most worried about...if he's not scoring he's invisible or worse. At least Quinn is responsible in his own zone and can PK.

If this was last year I'd agree, in fact I posted about selling high on JJ a few times. He would immediately go on a heater and I'd feel stupid. But this year Quinn is as lost as any player I've ever seen:

Quinn is playing worse than any Sabre since Johan Larsson struggled through his crippled arm season.

I get the concerns about Peterka, he's been streaky the last couple years and right now he's ice cold. But seriously, what the hell happened with Quinn?

I’m curious about his NHL edge stats: he looks slower and weaker than last season. Just by the naked eye, he looks like the least physically prepared player I’ve ever witnessed. Is he? I don’t know. I don’t think this is the same player who came back from mono decided to get into a fight just to show that he could. Seriously, what the f*** did this guy do all summer? The John Tucker and Dave Andreychuk training?

I was thinking more along the lines of the Phil Kessel off-season program

The only offer you'd accept for a dogshit player on a long expensive deal, and a dogshit defenseman, is a defenseman that has won or finished 2nd in norris voting 3 of the last 4 years?

LMFAO

Nashville doesn't have much to even be interested in to begin with. So regardless of what people want to believe about Cozens, he is supposedly highly sought after and frankly I don't want to trade him. But if I get my socks knocked off it can change. Thing is, Buffalo has zero need for prospects, draft picks and random cap dumps.

You have 3 pieces that could interest us

Forsburg
Josi
Big Gap
Novak

ROR would be a nice depth piece to grab but I highly doubt that would ever happen

Doesn't he hold one of the records for the longest gp streak?
He just has a chubby face
Body fat percentage is more important on instagram than when it comes to most sports. Over a long season I'm sure some extra fat helps with your energy levels as well as retaining muscles.

In sports where it actually makes a difference you often have massive problems with eating disorders. One climber started using a wheelchair since he wanted his legs to shrink.

Of the many stories about Phil was that he was freakishly strong despite never working out. He apparently crushed a weightlifting competition during one training camp in Pittsburgh and no one ever saw him in the weight room ever.
The issue arose as his body eroded as he got older and he wasn’t doing the right preparation.
Or other more recent master moves like Stillman, Robinson, and Jo st.

Eh, Bloom hasn’t been able to stick in the AHL, they gave up nothing for Robinson, and Jost was a waiver pick up. Plenty of teams make peripheral roster adjustments that don’t amount too much. It’s the lack of any other clear vision and decisive action with a Bowman like obsession with one’s own pics that is the derailing part of his tenure. One could question why they signed bloom when they did, but they got out from under wasting an ELC slot.

With Greenway out long term.. missing out on Kakko which i really don't mind.

I'd like them to turn their attention to Fredric when roster freeze ends.

JT Miller - A + NMC
Jenner - C + 8 team No-Trade list
B Schenn - C + Full NTC
R Andersson - A + 6 team No-Trade list
Weegar - A + Full NTC
Crouse - A
B Nelson - A + 16 team No-Trade list
A Lee - C + 15 team No-Trade list

Crouse might be the only guy on that list that it would be reasonable to expect that Adams could get.

Maybe Weegar given the family ties to Rivet.

But, given both the leadership those guys have on their current teams and the players control over blocking trades, good luck.

Maybe a package of Fredric and Carlo
What could Buffalo offer the Bruins that makes sense for them?

I like Frederic and Carlo for the Sabres. The challenge is finding a trade that makes sense for both teams given that Frederic is a pending UFA and Carlo has a 10 team no trade list.

Frederic is likely worth the Sabres 2nd or 3rd round pick in 2025 as a pending UFA.

If Carlo would accept a trade to Buffalo, he is going to have a lot of value. Defensive RHD like Carlo have a lot of trade value around the league. So, the Bruins asking for one of the Sabres top young forwards makes sense.
