Many reasons.

Servelli makes things up.

An offer could be Cozens for Desharnais or something dumb like that.

It could be an offer on a guy they won't move, Dahlin.

It could be they don't want to do anything before the holiday freeze and hope time away helps.

Kevyn could genuinely believe the solution is in the locker room given the immediate success of anyone who leaves and doesn't want to make a predatory trades.

He gains a little bit of leverage by waiting even though his seat gets hotter each game.

Ok but whatever the offer is Kevyn could counter with Petterson for Cozens.

If what is being reported is true that isn't even happening.

Posters implying that the offer is insulting so Adams shouldn't call back is the 15 year mentality that got us here in the first place.

If you dig a little I think you will believe it to be more true than not.

He's a walking corpse, he said he was looking for a deal, before that all the insiders said Adams was the most active in the market. Now he sits silently and does nothing when his team is in complete shit.

I mean it’s certainly possible someone is calling up offering a protected 1st for Tage or whatever but I’m not inclined to give Kev the benefit of the doubt. Play the game, see what you can shake out

Start at the very top and work down from there. It's not like Tampa threw everything out when Vinik took over. They made smart hires and built from within. Same with Viola and the Panthers. Start at the top and work down from there.
I agree, and that's why I would focus on that, and make sure the structure of management and coaching has an overabundance of experience. The days of developing your assistant, and head coaches at the NHL level need to be done. If you want to develop them, do so in the AHL, with experience overseeing their development.

After management and coaching staff have been dealt with, then there needs to be a rundown of the prospects with fresh eyes, see; replacing the prospect staff and structure. Figure out which ones work for your "vision" of a Sabres player, which ones COULD fit, and decide what to do then.

Finally work on your main roster. If you need to reset the cap and make some "tough" decisions, do so, then so be it. Just as long as you realize that your main roster needs an injection of veteran leadership in all positions/roles on the team.

Why doesn't this idiot call himself and offer his futures and players for trade.

I questioned him about last night he said sabres players need to start packing because Kevyn is making trades today. He also implied Kevin and the Rangers were talking.

Well, if Drury listened to ATW and texted Adams that he’d give up Rempe and a 5th for Peterka or Cozens, I can understand if Adams didn’t counter.

I can't. Why wouldn't you come back with an equal offer on one of his players?

I also don't understand fan mentality like we lost for 15 years straight so lets hang up the phone and not even talk.

I guess you prefer Adams to pout in a corner. I prefer a GM to try to improve the team.

So when Adams calls a GM I am sure they are going to bother to even pick up the phone. Oh wait, thats where we are now. Its working.

Have you ever been in a fantasy league with a guy that offers you MVS for James Cook and then gets mad that you refused to counter that 💩 offer?

Until we hear that there are somewhat legit offers, I don’t care if Adams is refusing to counter garbage offers for guys.

So when they call Adams and he hangs up the phone without a counter and then Adams calls back a month later wanting to make a trade and they don't even bother to answer the phone.

So here we are. Its a moronic way to handle things and Adams is acting like a child.

There is goodwill in negotiating even if it doesn't work out.

Here you are defending Adams after 5 years of failure like his model on how to handle trade negotiations is acceptable.

How do I improve my team hanging up the phone on all the GMs? Please tell me.

So in your fantasy league if you hang up the phone on everyone without even trying what happens? People stop calling you. People don't even answer the phone when you call. There is absolutely no positive or benefit in handling things this way.

I doubt every other GM is offering up trash deals. Some GMs are. And a lot of times, they are guys you are never going to get deals done with.

Or maybe it’s Adams being told not to make deals. Pegula told the players to not expect a big deal.

:dunno:
