But if we do trade Cozens…:I could live with a Marner type trade regardless of what he does when he leaves here. I just don’t want to give Toronto the historic Buffalo trade luck and have them win the Cup this year

Mitts was public enemy number 1 on these forums what are you talking about? When Mitts was struggling 2 years ago people wanted him gone for scraps. The same people wanting Cozens gone are the same people who wanted UPL/Mitts gone. Both those guys turned it around here soon after.

You essentially want to repeat the cycle of developing our young guys & trading them away because they struggle at 23 years old. Then you wonder why we suck.

We've just been a farm team for other organizations. I want to do the opposite for a change. I want to keep the young guys we developed.

"Look for hockey trades to shake up this roster, they're not going anywhere with this players."

Yea heard the same stuff about our last core that has won multiple cups already.
When he was buried on the third line with Olofsson? But we didn't trade him and he break out, and then we traded him for some reason when we didn't have to. Where's the logic in that?

Yes, we need trades or do you disagree?

Why should we wait and develop youth? We need good players here and now, do it right for once. We have a legit NHL coach after Housley, Krueger and Granato, but he has no resources, why should he coddle young players? He's running out of patience. Build a roster that looks like a playoff team, not this crap.

Rosen has been consistently good in Rochester and great as of late. Do you think it’s time to give him a look on the Sabres? I realize that much like Kosak, there isn’t a spot for him.

Yes and people wanted him gone. How do you not understand that? People here thought he was soft and not capable of being a C in the NHL. Reminds me of someone.

Don't be dishonest. I didn't say anything about not trading. I said don't trade the young guys we developed. We have a ton of prospects/picks available for trade.

How do you think we get good players? Like c'mon dude lmao. We have to draft our good players. We don't have the luxury of getting Artemi Panarin to sign here in FA or Matthew Tkachuk wanting to come to Buffalo. We would've made the playoffs already if we just kept some of our young guys instead of moving them out because "that core wasn't good enough"

You just want them to repeat the cycle. I want them to break it.

The solution is never sticking more young players in the lineup Rosen already played one game and was invisible most of the time.

When Adams gave out those big contracts, he was really hoping this would be a young, talented, high octane offense... but they're just so slow and easy to push around. If they don't lose the race to pucks, and they usually do, they lose the battle.

We basically need to get rid of our second line, push our top line down, and go buy a new actual top line somehow. And go get a player that can be whatever Sammy is supposed to look like as a finished product.

This was the year Adams did his best going for the playoffs. With him failing hard , they need to fire him directly without waiting any longer as what he build clearly not working . Any rumors he is gone soon ? Is he the worst gm we had ever ?

First pick this year draft good ?

Start a new rebuild?

Trade following players
Cozens
Zucker
Tuch
Greenway
Quinn
Samuelsson
Clifton
Byram
Joki
No , half are good players and many others could be ADAMS shouldn't Be allowed to do anything he should become botterils assistant

NOBODY in buffalo is watching a rebuild , INVESTIGATE . EVERY aspect of this hire pres and GM this team is not that bad

dahlin really made a difference but too much stick checking and indifference

there is more going on This blows

Second year Adams banked his hopes on a 2nd line that has been unable to rise to the pressure.
This is the sanity take

Everyone knew they needed another top 6 forward(preferably a center)and RHD. Kevyn did Kevyn stuff. F*ck he was gifted a RHD(Fabbro)a couple weeks ago and wouldn't even take it.

Good organizations don't gift or count on rookies to take top 6F, top 4D spots(especially with cap space). Moron can't figure that out

Still amazed that a team with this much cap decided to not even try Fabbro on. Tossing the Preds a mid-round pick to try Fabbro out and get a guy who has done top 4 work (and done it well) as Josi's safety value is the sort of thing a team that isn't afraid to spend some extra money does. And if it pushes Jokiharju out of the lineup? Okay. Or Bryson to waivers? Okay. Too much coddling due to the idea that they can't disturb the room or some such. Infuriating. And it's not like they already have too many prospects, a mid-round pick like a 5th isn't going to break the f***ing bank.

And if Fabbro didn't work? Put him on waivers your own damn selves. And if he gets plucked and goes on to be good somewhere else... okay. At least something was tried.

But again, the time to make roster moves is draft week and the first couple of days of free agency. Not enough, yet again.

You'd think a team that is constantly on the outside looking in would be throwing shit against the wall any chance they get. So scared to make any kind of small, easy move let alone the hard ones.

I've been pretty convinced for a while Keyvn doesn't even watch other teams games. I just don't get it. Are these guys all convince they're the smartest guys in the league when they are actually the dumbest? We know the owner is the opposite of smart...

I disagree with that. I don't see the point in continuing to wait for someone to grow up. It doesn't mean you have to trade all the young guys, but almost everyone on this team should be available. Don't you see what's going on? They're just losing to everyone and not going to the playoffs. Get good players while you have a good coach. You're going to need roster spots anyway, so you can't avoid losing young guys to add 3-4 new legit top 4 and top 6 players.

We've never had a good team over the years where we had everything balanced and a good top 6 and top 4 and a goalie.

Trading a young guy at his lowest value is one of the dumbest things you can do. Teams are probably salivating for the Sabres to trade Cozens/Quinn/Peterka etc..

Get good players how? These guys suck & need to grow up, but they're getting good players back? Why are good teams trading their good players for that?

How are we adding 3-4 legit top 4 / top 6 guys lmao?

We never had a good team over the years because we keep trading young players away & restarting the process over and over again.

How about we just add to the team? Help out the young guys. Instead of being reactionary & trading away our struggling young guys for scraps?
