Here is a big problem: Imagine you are another GM. You put in years of hard work moving up the ladder and learning how to be an executive and gaining the qualifications needed to earn that position. Then you see Kevyn Adams, a man who has zero qualifications except being a loyal stooge to one of the most incompetent owners in the history of the sport. Are you going to have ANY respect for the guy? Are you going to treat him with the respect you would a GM who actually earned the position or will you treat him the way Brian Burke famously treated Garth Snow calling him and insultingly trying to Jedi Mind Trick him into trading the1OA pick that ended up being Tavares?

Eh, this is a league where so much of getting into executive positions is just who one knows and who one has worked for. It's a boys club.

If all these insiders are to be believed, Adams is looking for help forward.

I think Power is going to be an excellent defenseman and have a long career.

But if I could flip him for Beniers, I would.

Besides the missing right shot defensemen we’d need, it would balance out the team immensely.

I wouldn’t do that trade for many, but Beniers is 22, 6’2” and a supposed leader.

I’d also like to set up the defense with only two left handed puck movers going forward.

Beniers is a centre, not a right shot dman.
