You don't see anything in Sasson (#8)? From what I've seen (admittedly not much), he has great wheels and some smarts. Not much to quarrel with there. It sure looks grim after #7.

I mean, it's not exactly a robust list past #3-4.
Raty is a big responsible C who is dominant on faceoffs who is going to have a long, boring NHL career. He had a good camp and made the team this year, and has leveled up offensively in the AHL - currently on a run where he has 14 points in his last 8 games.
To me he's better than Aman in pretty much every way aside from skating - bigger, more physical, more talented. And miles better on faceoffs which is one of the reasons Aman has struggled to stick as a depth C.
I'll be pretty surprised if Raty isn't on our NHL squad next season.
fair enough. i think this team is in trouble if raty is more than a 13th forward but centers who can win faceoffs and don't give back too much are in short supply i guess
He's 24, so I'm guessing we've seen his ceiling, which is a tweener, but I admit I wouldn't be shocked if he had something of a career as a 4th liner. Anything more than that would be a surprise to me.You don't see anything in Sasson (#8)? From what I've seen (admittedly not much), he has great wheels and some smarts.
i hate being pessimistic but while i see various tools i don't see any coherent game with raty and i don't know what he is. as such i can't see him being more than a roleplayer. maybe he will find his identity as he goes along. He might be the 13th guy next year but I think he’s big/skilled/responsible enough that he’s going to be a regular 20-25 point bottom-6 C for a bunch of years. Like a Radek Faksa or something.
It’s funny because I was one of the guys who liked him the least when we acquired him and there was a big ‘future 2C’ notion here and now my opinion on him has barely changed and I seem to be one of his bigger fans.
Yeah. He looks like he's tracking as a bottom 6 winger who can take draws. If he can develop PK utility, that would go a long ways to helping him land a steady NHL paycheck. But as a classic matchup centerman, I'm just not seeing it. His lack of mobility will always hold him back even though he's a pretty intelligent player.i hate being pessimistic but while i see various tools i don't see any coherent game with raty and i don't know what he is. as such i can't see him being more than a roleplayer. maybe he will find his identity as he goes along.

He'd be #4 for me, too. I had him at #3 and E Pettersson at #4 in November; would have to jump Pettersson ahead now based on his promising early appearances in the NHL, but I like Mynio. I don't watch a lot of junior hockey but what I've seen of him has impressed me. He can really move, he can defend, he's got decent puck skills and he competes hard. Good prospect in my opinion.Mynio that high eh
That's great but overall both he and Romani aren't really building a ton from their draft seasons.Patterson now has 1 goal and 9 assists in his last 5 games , this is very encouraging and thank god he still has next season , plus the next 20 games plus a deep playoff run by the Colts to finish the season on a high note.and fulfill his potential before turning pro hopefully
