I saw Liam Ohgren went from #11 to #8 and Jonathan Lekkerimaki went from #9 to #6 internationally. I love players who make big jumps. Kevin Korchinski made the largest jump though going from #20 to #7 North America. Anyone have any information on him other than the scouting reports.
Here is what I found:
Liam Ohgren's Player Profile
Eetu Siltanen - Dobber Prospects - Mar. 20th: "Offensively skilled player with good size. Ability to score goals and create chances. Point production in U20 has been amazing but in the SHL, not so much yet. However, high offensive upside. NHL ETA 1-2 years."
Sam Cosentino - Sportsnet - Mar. 9: "Has been able to work through some background noise to have a very productive season."
Peter Baracchini - The Hockey Writers - Mar. 1st: "He plays with such a high level of pace, tracking loose pucks and is tenacious when engaging in a battle for possession. He’s a high-end playmaker and his shot is always on display."
Scott Wheeler - The Athletic - Feb. 14th: "His shot comes off his blade quickly and naturally, with little drawback into his stance when he’s letting it go. His offensive arsenal is multi-faceted and he’s got some real evasiveness to his game to complement it."
Josh Bell - SportingNews/FC Hockey - Dec. 23rd: "He’s excellent with the puck on his stick thanks to his stand-out creativity. He is very calm and patient while knowing how to use his puck to protect the puck. He makes difficult plays look easy and seems to stand out in every game."
Jonathan Lekkerimaki's Player Profile
Sam Cosentino - Sportsnet - Mar. 9: "Driver of play with elite finishing ability."
Peter Baracchini - The Hockey Writers - Mar. 1st: "He’s a lethal sniper with a strong and powerful release and even better accuracy. Even when he doesn’t have anything, he has great patience to take his time to curl back and quickly attack the open lane when he sees it."
Scott Wheeler - The Athletic - Feb. 14th: "He has progressed rapidly, quickly becoming a dynamo inside the offensive zone and on the power play. He’s got a knack for hitting holes in the net, frequently beating goalies low-blocker and five-hole."
Josh Bell - SportingNews/FC Hockey - Dec. 23rd: "He’s yet another forward in this class with an excellent shot,
who seems to be able to get it off his stick from anywhere in the offensive zone at any time and put it in the back of the net. He’s a very strong skater and plays hard in the offensive zone, but he could stand to bring that effort back to his own end."
Not bad for the third try
