They were saying he mentioned to Lankinen early in the game to stay warm he might need to go in. They as in, i can't remember. But early like the first period. He just wanted to feel it out.
I'm certainly no expert but Demko just isn't moving well to my eye. He's not tracking the puck or play at all. He's late to recognize where things are going and you could see it on multiple goals last night. He can't seem to move side to side with the quickness and control we have become accustomed to seeing. Regardless of the tire fire in front of him his play has been very poor since his return.
Right now I don't think he's any more playable than Silovs wasat the beginning of the year. Demko-Lankinen was supposed to be a big strength for the team. It certainly isn't.
He's been back in full practice and games for over 2 months now. To me it is officially panic time wrt his play. Still won't be surprised to see him be LTIRetired.
So, nobody then. He is currently an injury prone backup that costs 5 mil a year who has started exactly 4 playoff games in his career (and that was awhile ago). He is without value, at least right now.

Especially when we just saw it with Hronek. Honestly it falls on the coaching staff with how it's been handled. To just throw the guy into the fire like this is very tough physically and mentally, even if he's medically cleared. Load management is something that's gone totally overboard in leagues like the NBA, but in a specific situation like this it's justified.
