TES IV: Oblivion Remaster Leak

Would definitely put this in the category of "visual remake" with games like Demon's Souls and Last of Us Part 1. I am enjoying it a lot so far. Forgot how great the music in this game is, it's fun to just walk around the world listening to the amazing soundtrack.
Too many game studios don't realize that people want to go back to old games because of the games that they were, not because of the games that they could've been. Bethesda got this one right.

Still has the enemy level scaling so bandits will eventually have glass armour and entire species of animals will disappear at high levels. Killed my interest, will get it when it’s cheap someday.

That's one of the most critical mods.

What's the point of gaining in power if the damned bandits become unstoppable killing machines as well?

Plus glass armor is hilarious.

The developers did talk about replacing a lot of animations (because the original's didn't react to being hit) and re-recording a lot of voices (because the original re-used a lot of them and they wanted more variety and each race to sound different).

About 75% of the NPCs had the same voice as Jauffre.

Got the Steam Deck to run this 40-45 fps consistently indoors and 30 fps in cities and the open world, though it dips a bit when it's raining/super populated.

Someone created a ReShade preset (for PC) that tries to mimic the color grading of the original game. I haven't tried it yet, but it looks nice... not perfect, but closer to the original colors. However, it reportedly does impact performance a little bit.

Speaking of performance, there's a popular mod (though it's just a replacement engine.ini) to improve performance and reduce stuttering, if you need it or want to offset the impact of the above mod.

Speaking of performance, there's a highly popular mod (that's really just a replacement engine.ini) to improve performance and reduce stuttering, if you need it or want to offset the impact of the above mod.

I prefer the brighter colours but I probably won't be touching anything that impacts performance negatively for a while. That performance mod however I might give a go.

The more I play this the more it pains me that Starfield didn't have ray tracing. Love the atmosphere of that game but the lighting is so much more consistent in this game, it really would've helped out a lot. I hope ES6 will bring RT to Creation Engine.
