I wish we had a currency worth anything. $89NZDOut today and under $70 CAD.... Not too shabby.
That would be fitting, given that Oblivion was a massive change and dumbing down from Morrowind.Definitely have to play this one but i know theyre gonna change a ton and dumb it down.
I am creating my character right now, both of those skills are in the game.Goddammnit they got rid of acrobatics and athletics FFS
Oh really? I assumed sprinting being in the game kind of negates it. FantasticI am creating my character right now, both of those skills are in the game.
OF pays out today?I don't want to wait, but it actually works out, I'll have money tomorrow.![]()
It definitely still feels like Oblivion. Rag doll physics, the art, the UI, the music, the voices etc. But it also feels very new.Bethesda's marketing department must've decided that it would sell better if called a "remaster" because this looks much more like a remake to me. From the videos and screenshots that I've seen, I barely recognize anything so far and it sounds like they overhauled just about everything. It seems almost like a whole new game, rather than an update of a game that I played a lot of. On one hand, that's disappointing, since it may not be very nostalgic and may lack what made the original had.
On the other hand, it's a little exciting if it's like a whole new Elder Scrolls game, since we've waited long enough for one. This might be a nice opportunity to get a somewhat modern ES experience while we wait for ES6. I loved System Shock Remake despite it being so radically different from the original and appreciated it as the next best thing to getting a proper SS3. I'm going to try to treat this the same way, as a remake, rather than a remaster, and try to appreciate it as the next best thing to getting a real ES game.
I'm hearing now that it uses the original game's code running under Unreal Engine 5, so that's probably why it feels like the original game yet looks very new. So, I guess that it's not a full remake, after all.It definitely still feels like Oblivion. Rag doll physics, the art, the UI, the music, the voices etc. But it also feels very new.
Yea Oblivions soundtrack has always been my favourite.Would definitely put this in the category of "visual remake" with games like Demon's Souls and Last of Us Part 1. I am enjoying it a lot so far. Forgot how great the music in this game is, it's fun to just walk around the world listening to the amazing soundtrack.
