For me it’s not just what we got, it’s what we got and when we got it. I refuse to believe that Buch’ value was at its maximum last summer. One could say you couldn’t have predicted his performance this year, but it was totally predictable. You’re telling me he wouldn’t fetch a first at the TDL this year?

He needed to be moved. Cap space next year is a problem. Cap space this year is not a problem at all.

Now we are likely to deal more than what was returned for Buch to rent a player that is worse than him for a few weeks at the end of the season.

I still think Drury had a plan for all of this open cap space this season that didn’t work out for some reason. That’s the only way I can make sense of the timing of this trade.

Yes it is not on Drury our current GM, but this season is actually Kreiders best season when I look at stats and close to PPG, and only 5 goals behind Leon Draisaitl.
