It's the final episode before Game 1 of the playoffs, and it's time to do a full deep dive on the Avalanche's first round series with the Nashville Predators. Will the Avalanche actually be healthy for the first time all season? What will be the most important thing for the Avalanche to get through Nashville and prepare for a long run? Next, Chad Minton and Rich Howe of the Catfish on Ice Podcast join Griffin and Christian to preview this series from the Nashville perspective, and if they have any sort of optimism in the Predators with Dave Rittich in net. What can the Predators do to make this series close? Also, where do they stand on the Makar vs. Josi for Norris debate?

The Stanley Cup Playoffs are finally here, and the Avalanche made a statement in Game 1 against Nashville with an absolutely dominant 7-2 to take a 1-0 series lead, and showed that they are in a whole other league from the Predators. Playoff mode Nathan MacKinnon was activated with two goals and three points, and Cale Makar made the whole Nashville roster look silly. After such a beatdown, can the Predators do anything to counter this unstoppable force of Colorado? Can we expect more of the same in Game 2?

The Avalanche got the job done in Game 2, but faced a real scare with Connor Ingram making 48 saves on 50 shots, but Cale Makar is not a mortal being that can be stopped by a mere man. The Avalanche win it 2-1 in overtime, and take a 2-0 series lead as the series shifts to Nashville for Games 3 and 4. How much did the Avalanche dominate Nashville again, and how close was Ingram to stealing this game? Is it even possible for him to keep it up the rest of the way? Is there anything Nashville can do?

The Avalanche are on the verge of a first round sweep of the Nashville Predators following a 7-3 beatdown in Game 3, but not without some serious scares along the way. Darcy Kuemper took a stick to the eye in first period, forcing him out for the rest of the game and Pavel Francouz into the net, but the Avs prevailed on the back of four powerplay goals and an overall amazing team performance to demoralize the outmatched Predators. With just how dominant the Avs have been, can the Avalanche wrap up this series on the road in Game 4?

The Colorado Avalanche have swept the Nashville Predators and are moving onto the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs following a 5-3 victory in Game 4. The Avalanche did not play their best game, but when you have a player as dominant as Cale Makar on your team, it really does not matter at the end of the day. Makar took over this series and this game, and helped the Avalanche scratch and claw their way through a tough game that was capped off with a third period comeback. The Avs are in the same spot as last year, but is this team different now? Who will be waiting for the Avalanche next week in the Second Round?

The second round has begun, and the Avalanche are not slowing down one bit as they beat the St. Louis Blues 3-2 in overtime to take a 1-0 series lead. The Avalanche dominated this game, but a combination of the mosts posts hit in Stanley Cup Playoff history and a great performance form Jordan Binnington kept the Blues in the game and force overtime, but the Avs eventually overwhelmed them as Josh Manson scored the overtime winner. Was the Blues chance to get into this series after all of the Avs bad luck, and what can they even do to stop the Avs when they're like this? Was this even the Avs final form?

The Avalanche drop their first playoff game of the season, getting thoroughly outperformed by the St. Louis Blues in Game 2 of their Second Round series to tie the series at 1 game a piece heading to St. Louis. What went wrong after such a dominant Game 1 for the Avs, and what can they do right the ship and get back on track and win this series? Now that Griffin is in Denver for the series, is this all his fault?

The Avalanche bounced back in an outstanding way on the road in Game 3, beating the St. Louis Blues 5-2 on the back of one of their best third period performances of the season and contributions from up and down the lineup. However, the game did not come without controversy. Nazem Kadri had a collision with Jordan Binnington, forcing Binnington out of the game and potentially the series. Looking at the replay, was there anything Kadri could've done to avoid contact? Also, Sam Girard will miss the remainder of the playoff with a broken sternum after taking a brutal hit 45 seconds into the game. So yeah, it was definitely one hell of a night

Nazem Kadri owns the St. Louis Blues, and the Avalanche are one game away from advancing to the Western Conference Final after a 6-3 win over the St. Louis Blues in Game 4, winning both games on the road in St. Louis. After all of the death threats and racism that Kadri had to deal with from St. Louis after Game 3, he shoved it right in their face with a playoff hat trick, despite the Blues best effort to injure him. Once again the Avs got the job done on the road, and now they have the chance to put the second round narrative behind them, and finish this series off on home ice. Also, Andre Burakovsky was scratched for Game 4, and rightfully so. Is this a permanent move or will he back? Finally, should Jack Johnson remain in, or should Ryan Murray make his playoff debut?

The Avalanche had their chance to close out this second round series and move on to the Western Conference Final, but they blew it in excruciating fashion, blowing a 3-0 lead and wasting an amazing late goal from Nathan MacKinnon for a 5-4 overtime loss in Game 5. Nathan MacKinnon was on a mission and picked up a hat trick, but the worst period the Avalanche played all playoffs in the third wasted a performance that should've gone down in Avs folklore. As we now move on to Game 6, what needs to change in order to finish the job next time around? Can Darcy Kuemper bounce back?

They did it. The Colorado Avalanche win Game 6 over the St. Louis Blues 3-2, and are moving on to the Western Conference Final for the first time in twenty years. Darren Helm of all people scores the series clinching goal with 5 seconds to go, and puts an end to all of the narratives with the Avalanche and getting out of the second round. JT Compher also had the best game of his career, and stepped up with two massive goals to push the Avalanche over the hump. The job is still only halfway done though, and now the Avalanche prepare for the matchup of a lifetime with Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers in the Western Conference Final.

The Avalanche have hit uncharted territory by making the Western Conference Final, but now the Edmonton Oilers stand in the way of a trip to the Stanley Cup Final. What are the biggest keys to this series for both sides? Do the Avalanche have the capacity to contain the historic paces of Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl? Can the Oilers compete with the Avalanche's depth when the top line isn't on the ice? Can either Kuemper or Smith be relied on to take over this series? Also, both guys randomly just spew some utterly insane and unprompted takes about Gretzky and Fleury for some reason.

What just happened? The Avalanche win Game 1 of the Western Conference Final 8-6 over the Edmonton Oilers, in one of the most mind numbing and strange games of all time. We do our best to breakdown the insanity of this series opener, and there are plenty of storylines that flared up. How did the Avs top line match up against McDavid and the Oilers top line? Should Cale Makar's goal have counted? Darcy Kuemper had a gaff for an easy goal, but eventually left the game after a flare up of his eye injury, forcing Pavel Francouz into the game to make some huge saves. Who will start Game 2? Most important, is this kind of play sustainable to win this round?

The Avalanche played their best game of the playoffs in Game 2 of the Western Conference Final, shutting out the Edmonton Oilers 4-0, completely neutralizing Connor McDavid, and sending an overmatched Oilers home frustrated that their attempts to get under the Avs skin failed so miserably. Pavel Francouz started for an injured Darcy Kuemper, and posted an amazing shutout with the full support of the team and Avs nation at his back. What's the plan in net if Kuemper is healthy for Game 3? How did the Avalanche put together such a perfect performance in front of Francouz, and what adjustments did they make from Game 1? Can the Avalanche keep this up on the road in Edmonton?

The Colorado Avalanche are one win away from the Stanley Cup Final. This is real life, and this is happening. The Avalanche win Game 3 of the Western Conference Final 4-2 over the Edmonton Oilers, and lead the series 3-0. Again the Avalanche have proven that they are the better team in this series, and the rest of the world is starting to realize what we've all been talking about for so long. JT Compher proved once again he has the clutch gene, and scored one of the biggest goals of the playoffs for the GWG. Also, Evander Kane is a scumbag who does not belong in the NHL, and now Nazem Kadri is likely out for the remainder of the playoffs as a result. Kane should be suspended for the remainder of the series, which likely won't be very long, but expectations for Player Safety to do their job is low. Can the Avalanche close this series out in Game 4 as their depth continues to be tested?

DONATE HERE TO GET ELISE TO COLORADO FOR THE STANLEY CUP FINAL gofund.me/ba36a150

The Colorado Avalanche are going to the Stanley Cup Final. They actually did it, and they did it with relative ease. They sweep the Edmonton Oilers in the Western Conference Final, winning Game 4 6-5 in overtime with a phenomenal comeback, capped off with Artturi Lehkonen sending the Avalanche to the Stanley Cup Final. The game itself was not the Avs best performance, but it does not matter, and now they have 10 to 12 days before the beginning of the Stanley Cup Final. Enjoy every single second of this, because we all deserve this, and these are memories we will cherish for the rest of our lives.

The Avalanche have a lot of waiting to do now as they await the winner of the Eastern Conference Final for their opponent in the Stanley Cup Final. Who would be the ideal opponent for the Avalanche to play, the Tampa Bay Lightning or the New York Rangers? Also, will all this time off be good for the Avs numerous injuries, or will it disrupt their momentum? Should it be Kuemper or Francouz starting in the Final? Are the ticket prices at Ball Arena fair? Finally, did the Avalanche do the right thing by touching the Clarence S. Campbell Trophy, or will that bring back luck in the Final?

The Avalanche have their opponent for the Stanley Cup Final, and it's the two time defending champions in the Tampa Bay Lightning. This is an incredibly even series between two of the best organizations in the NHL, and the best Stanley Cup Final matchup the NHL has seen in decades. However, one of these teams has to lose and come up short of the Stanley Cup. How can the Avalanche end the Lightning's reign of terror and bring home the 2022 Stanley Cup? In a series this close, what's the most important factor for the Avalanche? Will Darcy Kuemper be able to duel with Andrei Vasilevskiy?

The Avalanche draw first blood in the Stanley Cup Final, beating the Tampa Bay Lightning 4-3 in overtime with a game winner from Andre Burakovsky which made Griffin, who waited his whole life for this, cry. The Avalanche played a fantastic game to draw first blood against the two time defending champs, and everybody pulled their weight for an almost perfect performance. Do the Avalanche have another level they can find as they get later in this series, and will Tampa Bay get better as well? What can we expect from Kuemper for the rest of the series after a meh first game? Can the Avalanche continue to dominate even strength and smother the Lightning with their transition game?

The Colorado Avalanche just put forth one of the most dominant games in NHL history in Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final, humiliating the Tampa Bay Lightning 7-0 to take a 2-0 lead in the Final. The Avalanche dominated every aspect of this game from top to bottom, and it's been everybody doing their job perfectly and giving Tampa Bay absolutely nothing. It's the Avalanche's depth that's given the Lightning fits, and the Lightning's stars have been nowhere to be found? As this series shifts to Tampa Bay, Is there anything the Lightning can do to counter the relentless attack of the Avalanche in this series? Are they able handle a team that's just better than them.

The Avalanche got properly rocked in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final, losing 6-2 to the Tampa Bay Lightning and having their series lead cut to 2-1. All of the details that carried the Avs to victory in Game 2 were not there, and Tampa Bay made them pay every single time. After getting pulled in Game 3, is Darcy Kuemper's job in trouble with Pavel Francouz waiting in the wings? Now that both teams have scored blowout in this series, what can we expect as we move on to a critical Game 4 and the rest of this series? Will the Avalanche make the necessary adjustments to move with a win of the Stanley Cup?

The Colorado Avalanche are one win away from the Stanley Cup following an all time classic 3-2 overtime win over the Tampa Bay Lightning, scored by none other than Nazem Kadri in his return to the lineup. Is there anything to controversy of too many men on the winner, or is Tampa just trying to stir up drama? Darcy Kuemper had a phenomenal bounce back, posting a .949 save percentage and an assist on the OT winner. With the defending champions on the ropes, will the Avs be able to bring home the Stanley Cup in Game 5 on home ice and cap off an incredible run? Also, Cale Makar brings home the Norris trophy by a razor thin margin. Is it time he gets his respect as a top three player in the NHL?

The Avalanche had the Stanley Cup in the building, but came up short in Game 5 with a 3-2 loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning, sending this series back to Tampa Bay for Game 6. The Avs did not have their best game, but it was far from their worst as well. However, with two more chances to close this series out, now is not the time to panic at all. The officiating was questionable, and some huge calls were missed that gave Tampa Bay a big advantage. Darcy Kuemper couldn't make the big save tonight, but the evidence suggests a bounce back game on the horizon. Can the Avs close out this series on the road in Game 6, or will Ball Arena host a winner take all Game 7 on Tuesday?

The Colorado Avalanche have won the Stanley Cup. They did it, they really did it. For the third time in franchise history the Avalanche are Stanley Cup Champions, and this core has marked themselves forever in the history books as champions. No more maybes, no more next year, it's now. The Avalanche defeated the two time defending champion Tampa Bay Lightning 2-1 in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final, in a nearly perfect game to finish off what could go down as one of the best Stanley Cup Finals of all time. Cale Makar cemented himself as the best defenseman in the NHL, and plenty of other Avs secured their legacies with this victory. What happens now? Who cares, it's time to celebrate!
