It seems there's more pressure this year, than in the past few years, on Ruff. Especially from the media. I remember listening to WGR last season and even the hosts were still not quite convinced it was time. Folks are calling for his firing on WGR (yes this doesn't mean much, but they are closely affiliated, obviously) and TBN, fans, etc etc...
I think if things don't turn around by the weekend this will be more real than ever. They are now backpeddling on things like "Lindy ain't going nowhere" and "Lindy is our guy" with these comments that he is not immune to accountability. They may not fire him mid-season but I think it will happen. Unless they get in, then mediocrity reigns again.
The tone of the interview is very reflective compared to Ted's past appearances. That's hopeful that this ******** stops with the untouchable Lindy Ruff.
