It seems there's more pressure this year, than in the past few years, on Ruff. Especially from the media. I remember listening to WGR last season and even the hosts were still not quite convinced it was time. Folks are calling for his firing on WGR (yes this doesn't mean much, but they are closely affiliated, obviously) and TBN, fans, etc etc...

I think if things don't turn around by the weekend this will be more real than ever. They are now backpeddling on things like "Lindy ain't going nowhere" and "Lindy is our guy" with these comments that he is not immune to accountability. They may not fire him mid-season but I think it will happen. Unless they get in, then mediocrity reigns again.

The tone of the interview is very reflective compared to Ted's past appearances. That's hopeful that this ******** stops with the untouchable Lindy Ruff.

Wow. As much as he couldn't say due to professionalism, he certainly said a lot. Mr. Black just sold me on the future. I'm not sold on the current, though :)

It's not going to be a fun year to watch but it is a short season and if it's bad enough we'll end up with a new coach and a top 5 pick when it's over.

That is the professional way to address things. You don't hang someone else out to dry in the media.
it is while looking at the person right in the face, and not via WGR or BN.

I wonder how many current and past players tire of Lindy throwing them under the bus to the media instead of keeping it private. The other day I think I heard him call out every player except Hecht. Of course.
The players have certainly earned the right to be scorned but most coaches just dont do it. And I cant think of any long term coach that did it that way.
Scotty Bowman, Sparky Anderson for two. You praise publicly and blast in private.

Lindy's way doesn't seem to fit with the organization's way to me and perhaps that will start to be noticed more by T Peg.

Ruff will be fired at the end of the season when the Sabres miss the playoffs....

I'm completely relaxed... It's coming

I'm assuming we miss the playoffs as well, but lets say we sneak into the 8th spot and get eliminated in the first round, do they still fire Ruff?

I'd hope so, but a lot of people seem to be content with just making the playoffs, I hope the new management isn't.

In the second part, Ted mentioned he's going to be sitting in the 300s for today's game. I doubt it will be for long, but if anyone is going to the game tonight, please be vocal.

 last time that happened him and Pegula had a spotlight shown on them during a commercial break and all the fans in my section were doing the Wayne's world bow "we are not worthy" :shakehead
