Rumor: Teams wary of what Florida will do

I remember reading Trouba owned a condo in Florida prior to the trade to the Rangers. I am not sure what part of Florida or if he still owns the property. Does Florida have good hospitals? His wife's residency in NY is ending soon. The Panthers would be a great fit for Trouba if they can the money to work. There is one more one season remaining on the contract which makes retention more expensive.

I just don't see it. We abused Trouba so badly in the CF.

They won the cup because of that trade. Zito said this team isn’t built well enough to win and then got Tkachuk after. The trade on paper might look bad (I always thought Tippett sucked) but in the long term that trade got us the cup because the mindset and team changed due to that failure.
With mental gymnastics like this, who needs to go see cirque du soleil?!

His wife went to medical school in Broward County.

Why would the islanders trade dobson?
If they decide they don't want to commit to him long term. He's an impending RFA who was having a down year before getting injured. To this point, Tony DeAngelo has replaced his minutes and has looked like more of a fit for Roy's system than Dobson has, so that gives you a little pause when the guy is realistically due for an 8x8 contract.

It would probably take a core player that you don't want to deal to get him - something around Lundell would make the most sense for us with Brock likely departing. Not sure if something like that would make sense for you because that would probably mean moving Reinhart back to C and I know it's been a few years since he played there.

That just seems really shortsighted

Given the lack of available RHDs, I've long wondered if Florida might be the team who rolls the dice on Victor Söderström. Maybe that's a move that will have to wait until the off-season.

But, as a Brynäs fan, be warned: he's terrible and should be forced to stay where he is for the remainder of his career.

based on history they are looking for slow skating and thinking defenseman who dont know which way to keep stick or skates, will give 1st for that and still get somehow into the finals

Floridas recipe = get random plugs to do random things and let Barkovs figure out rest

verhaeghe makes 4m now but 7m with nmc next year. ekblad makes 7m, is a ufa and has 12 team no trade. panthers could be looking to move their 11m in cap space & add a big piece and random plugs. they can do vegas things.

I feel like David Savard retained 50% ends up in Florida. Not what we really want but just feels like it
