Pat verbeek should be all over him. What do the bruins want in return?

Too early in the season to say. Bruins either need legit top 6 offensive talent and Frederic is a plus to get there or they need picks (and with picks it's basically hold out for as much as you can get at the deadline).

Don't see why the Bruins wouldn't ask for a 1st (not from the Ducks, obviously) or a couple of 2nds.

Frederic has as many 5 on 5 goals the last two seasons as guys like Troy Terry, Crouse, Fiala and Ehlers. Obviously, some of those guys add a lot more on the PP, but having a guy on the 3rd line that can pop goals at that level with size is a very good thing. Just not sure if the Bruins can afford that luxury when they are short in the top six and Marchand is getting up there about to make it worse.

I’ve wanted him on the ducks since forever. Really really like the player, and his age fits with our core.

Not giving a 1st rounder for him. But since you are being sarcastic about it. I don't think inquiring about a 26 yr old winger who has size, speed, forechecks and scored 18 goals last year can't help us long term.....ok, fine.
He wouldn’t be a guy they’re looking at short term.

Yes, I do think a 26-year-old middle 6 forward can only prolong the agony of an aging core that is no good. How the hell are you going to be anywhere near competitive over the next 5-6 years without building through the draft? By the time of the 2025 draft you will have 0 goalies, 2 impact Ds and 1 impact forward under 30 years of age. I truly do not fathom how can one think this team can be fixed by adding decent NHLers in their prime when your entire core has been trending downhill for very objective reasons and there is no influx of talent in sight.

Frederic would be a great add for a contender, he sure would look good alongside the likes of MacKinnon, Rantinen, Mitts, Lehkonen and Nichushkin who is said to be back in a week or two.

Teams should be interested. He'd be a perfect 4th line C/W for a contender. Guy who can chip in even strength offense, big body, versatile and can contribute in other ways. Wish he was more of a PK ace. But he's the sort of guy that can potentially make that little difference in moving to the next round in the playoffs, or not...from way down the lineup.

Biggest thing is probably, he's potentially a pure "rental"...because some bad team is going to throw a bag of cash at him in the summer to add "size" to their team.

not if you are likely to meet in the playoffs

The offers won't be that much different between teams

If they end of selling it means they aren't going to the playoffs.

Boston is not the type of team that would sell while being in playoff contention

Frederic is not a fourth liner. He is right around DeBrusk and Garland when it comes to 5 on 5 goals the last couple seasons.
