He might be a great player in Russia, but not in the entire world. He was one of the laziest players I've ever seen play in the NHL, with his ability. He left for Russia primarily because he wouldn't be paid nearly as much in the NHL
He has 102 points in 154 NHL games, including his rookie season. NHL must be some kind of beer league, if one of the laziest players can score there this amount of points.

What do you mean? 4 means that he'd be a great 1st liner perhaps even occassionally an all star in "North America".

So you basically imply Kessel is better than Radulov? That means you don't really know what's going on outside NA. And your russian roster is pretty absurd to show it.

So, you too have no idea there just repeating old, rusty NA narratives.

You didn't read my definitions guys...

(+) means playing better than general reputation. (-) the opposite.
How is Fordberg, H. Sedin and Zinanejad, for example, playing BETTER right now than usual??

The problem are your general reputation grades. They are silly at times.

Kessel has 5 (-) that means he has a bigger star reputation not necessarily means he's playing better right now. Thats what the (-) indicates. NHL is still the superior hockey league world wide by the way, the best Russians go there. Radulov wasnt very good in the NHL for example, Kovalchuk was but is past prime.

Roster Standards: Roster shape:
USA: 96............... 7(+) 8(-)
Sweden: 95 ..........6(+) 4(-)
Russia: 85 ............6(+) 4(-)

If not counting reserve goalies:

Roster Standards: Roster shape:
Sweden: 89 ..........5(+) 4(-)
USA: 87 ...............7(+) 7(-)
Russia: 78 ........... 5(+) 3(-)

Not much to split USA n Sweden, Russias D hurts them though

US has great depth and a few gamebreaking talents, but doesn't quite have that elite #1 center up the middle, which in a tournament of all-stars means a heck of a lot.
Currently until Eichel and Larkin have a few more years and Matthews comes of age.

I think we don't need to discuss anything then, because your understanding of hockey is as biased as it gets. You won't get proper evaluation regarding your question if you think the best Russians all play in the NHL or REALLY believe Radulov wasn't very good in the NHL(are you too complacet to dig up the sats at least? I'm not even expecting you to evaluate his actual play).

Your NA/NHL bias won't let you see the obvious.

That's why in the recent WJC nearly nobody in NA expected Russia to medal. Because who knows those russian players? They play in those lesser leagues, right?

Your Russia's D is not Russia's D. You obviously have no idea about russan defencemen.

Who would you choose then?

Since the KHL is not going to brake for this tournament and probably not release any of its players to play in it, my guess would be something like this:

A MARKOV N ZAITSEV (looks to be singing with the Maple Leafs this off season)
E MEDVEDEV D ORLOV
D KULIKOV A MARCHENKO
N ZADOROV

Off course Kulikov. How would you rate him? I'd give him a 3.

I won't care about line combinations. Let's pretend it's just a list from best to worst.
