WC: Team Usa 2025

North Americans hockey players are so unproffesional. They are lacking the heart and work ethics that European players have. Not sure why it is like this.
Well, to be honest: Prague's Old Town is absolutely world class with beer and a beautiful place to stay. Can't really say I don't understand them, but as professional athletes, they obviously dropped their former job description part.

US is aight. Massiv at the top with Keller, Thompson, Gauthier, Cooley, Garland, while McCarron, Brink, Berard, O'Connor in bottom 6 is more so-so. Nazar and Beniers good as 3C/4C

KELLER - X (Larkin/playoffloser) - THOMPSON
GAUTHIER - COOLEY - GARLAND
SMITH - BENIERS - BRINK
O'CONNOR - NAZAR - BERARD/MCCARRON
MCCARRON/BERARD

That leaves the 1C for a playoffloser.

Yep. Hutson, Caufield, Tkachuk, Guentzel etc. But not so many clear 1C if Larkin is injured.
Larkin definitely seems like a wish, unlikely at this point. Tkachuk won't come and play, Sanderson and Pinto however could, Sanderson played amazing at 4 Nations but isn't a lock to make the Olympics (though pretty close).

Caufield and Hutson as long as they are healthy should be here...

Luke Hughes has been hurt so forget him now...

Still a solid amount of names out there but I hate when we stall like this, it's never a great sign.

Also would have zero issue with Jimmy Snuggerud here if Blues get bounced. Just add him and McGroarty over any plugs if the top guys all say no...build the team with as many gold winning WJC members as we can.

I'll take Noesen and Pesce. Then Hutson and Caufield from Montreal and this team is ready to go places.

Hate how we force some of these unnecessary additions before the 1st round of the playoffs is over.

Clearly also playing the Cole invite to hopefully unlock Lane, soon.
Oh my... You guys can do so much better.

I know Canadian players are no saints when it comes to the World Championships (we don't care as much as the Europeans) but there's just as big a gap between Canadians and Americans when it comes to caring about this tournament.

I don't think it's possible for American players to care any less than they do - which is a shock because a half dozen years ago, you sent an elite team.

Cole is actually a very good player with great potential on his own.

Btw feels weird with Doan in a USA jersey. His dad was Captain Canada.

The beginning was impressive, then apparently there were refusals and they had to take just anyone.
How is it even possible, start was so strong, i though that finnaly it will be great roster, with so young team usa never beat sweden or canada

Man, as much as I love Josh Doan and what he brings to Utah, it's less than ideal to select him for the national team. It is, however, interesting that he answered the call for us since I believe he'd be eligible for Canada, but I don't think he'd ever get selected for the Canadian national team.

It reminds me of several tournaments ago when one of our selections was David Moss of all people.

We see this almost every year. Starts out solid and then fades fast. Why they aren't waiting for a few early eliminations is beyond me. Nothing against any of the kids named there just why even announce most of them right now? They should be on stand by especially Hutson and Howard.

Doan is a solid rookie and Will Smith we all already knew. Losing Coronato sucks even more now knowing there is basically 1 spot left and that has to be for a dman. Maybe 2 left...

This team is pretty much filled with all NHL talent. The entire starting roster should be NHLers. We typically don't get that much. It would just be nice to finally put the whole thing together and get a talented balanced roster. This team finally has competent goaltending to compete for gold. Would be a damn shame if we don't get enough proven offense to show up after the top 4-5 names.

This is a skilled group. The kids have talent. Hutson and Howard are likely odd men out unless an injury occurs, so here for the ride. McCarron and O'Connor have roles to play but could sit if other younger guys step up.

We still have the chance to land Hutson and Caufield, both would solidify this group as a gold medal contender. So as much as we always hope for more, this team is very very solid with a ton of upside...
