Tricky, one year left on his ELC and eligible for an extension July 1st. I would expect him to sit out.
I think a young guy like Knies probably has a better shot just based on role. Cooley is going to need a slew of injuries or a monster start to the season to get considered in any event. Tuch is probably the first backup (from 4 Nations roster as base) Power Forward type and then Knies is second. Cooley has to deal with guys like Keller, Caufield, Robertson, DeBrincat in the way.Given his young age, he probably has to show up and make an impact here to really put himself in contention for the Olympic team.
Keller-Thompson-W Smith
Debrincat-Cooley-Kane
Terry-Nazar-Gauthier
Vlasic-Marino
LaCombe-Kesselring
Will Smith will be going per Macklin Celebrini.![]()

Wonder if they became buddies at all when Celebrini was at BU and Smith at BC. I know they're rivals but Celebrini would have figured he had a high likelihood of ending up in San Jose. Those two are attached at the hip at all times, good for them
Oh my...the message has been received.
I'm not a huge fan, but I think he'd be fine in a more modest role.Get Miller there. No need to mess around if he’s interested.
US Hockey gonna US Hockey...Get Miller there. No need to mess around if he’s interested.
Beniers and LaCombe too...at least from what I saw...So, we have Thompson, Keller, Smith, Kesselring, and Vlasic already. Great start.

Stop the losing culture Nick....come to the light again....
hopefully Wolf isn't burnt out from this stretch run, kid was amazing and would be a lock for our #1. I still have hope for Swayman, but Wolf carried the Flames on his back for much of the year- he deserves the net here if he isn't gassed.
