WC: Team Usa 2025

LaCombe and Ryan Donato are guys with breakthrough years who I would like to see at Worlds.
Donato wouldn’t play unless he signs a deal with Chicago but I think he’s gonna take it to UFA. Not like he’d have a serious shot at Olympic team in any event. Nice season but there’s still too many good options on the wings that didn’t make four nations that he’s behind.

Ironically, Donato has made a U.S. Olympic Team....Players I really want to see:

* Tage Thompson
* Alex Tuch
* Clayton Keller
* Logan Cooley
* Jackson Lacombe
* Troy Terry
* Cutter Gauthier
* Alex Vlasic
* Jeremy Swayman

Frank Nazar is starting to heat up. I don't hate it at all if we would see him at the worlds.

Add Terry and DeBrincat to the list. Maybe Kaner and Vatrano too.

Yes, those two plus Larkin are welcome as well. I think Kane has a very good chance of making the Olympic team if he's playing at a high-level next year. We can use his playmaking on the wing. DeBrincat is probbaly a numbers game. How many guys like he, Keller, Caufield, etc. will they take?

Long time ago it got out that he and Beniers was going to Worlds. Like 10 days ago. Or am I missing something?
Previously was "likely" or "expected" but not confirmed. Every WC there are early rumors of certain guys going who inevitably bail when the roster starts being named. This is the first we've heard from Thompson/anyone with authority that he's actually going and not just mulling it over.

Hoping we get enough talent that these guys get squeezed but man would it be fun to see Frank Nazar and Sam Rinzel on this team. Both phenomenal down the stretch

100% all in for the kids to fill out the team after the bubble guys accept decline. No plugs. No AHLers. No Euro players. Except Lasch of course...

Interesting enough, Larkin hasn't played in the WC in a number of years. His comment to all US players was to show up. He was going to play last year same as Tage and Guentzel but all 3 dropped out prior to start of camp. I hope Larkin stands by those words and captains this squad...it would only cement him as Captain America in my eyes (by the way, he has nothing left to prove, just saying to make that comment and rightfully so...he can show all what it means to show up here)...would love to see it.

Ha, Paul Mara, my late brother was a HS Hockey teammate of Mara's Uncle (Dad's brother) at a Boston area Public HS.

Mara's Dad was a College QB for Northeastern when my brother was recruited as a goalie for Northeastern.
