With Jones, the issue is that he's been trending down for 2 seasons and this last season pre-Olympics was not good, even granting him the benefit of doubt with the Columbus mess. If that downward trend continues, or he doesn't rebound and show well to start next season, he wouldn't touch my team. Admittedly, he's evaluated by very high standards as he was a top 5 defenseman not too long ago but he needs to be a lot better, especially as McAvoy is so far ahead of him at RHD, Fox has lapped him, and guys like Carlson, Pesce, etc. are all playing better and bring a standout specialty right now that Jones does not. We're going to leave quality, talented players off this roster and Jones could be one of them if he doesn't get it together.
