How does Nilsson go from leading the team in scoring last year to the third line this year?

Once again as i tried to explain. There are no such thing as a first line on this team. All are pretty even in strength. Its more swedish style than NHL-style.
Nilsson on third or Salmonsson on fourth might get more icetime than the "first line".

The bottom feeder defensemen don't convince me and the offense lacks the go-to guys to carry the team, otherwise it's a very good Swedish team.

Actually. Im not sure i totally agree with that statement. Take a player like Anton Strålman(probably totally unknown here). He is a top 2 defenseman on a pretty ok team in allsvenskan(tier 2 mens hockey). Receiving tons of ice time every game. He is on eight place in scoring among d-men in the whole league with 7 goals and 4 assists in 27 games.
Thats pretty good. He opted out last year to the draft(skövde played tier 3 hockey), but there were some NHL-scouts who were really impressed. He is basically a copy of Oscar Hedman, except he is a bit better at this point offensively but weaker defensively(still very good). Elias Granath is also a regular on a really good team(Leksand) who will have a chance of reaching SEL again. These two are maybe the two weakest d-men. So im not sure i agree. But its the smaller rinks now too. This is based on the bigger rinks :)

I like what seems to be Strålman's talent level, but my view of Granath is not as positive. If Erkgärds goes, that leaves Savilahti who obviously has a downside to his game, big guys can rarely reach a complete and consistent performance in juniors.

Savilahti got the chance in SEL and Luleå a couple of games ago, and has been a regular for the last 6-7 games or so. He has also been one of the best d-men in Piteå in allsvenskan (tier 2 mens hockey). Im also a little bit worried of his consistency. But he showed the last games some really good improvement from like 2-3 months ago. But its a mistery that a big d-man like him (close to 6'5") haven´t been drafted. He actually has a great hockeysense, He can pass, he can shoot and he can move his feet fast enough in his own end. He has even worked on his physical appearance and still wasn´t drafted. But Its not like that matters now, he will be drafted if he has a decent showing in JWC. We´ll see how much ice time he receives though.

And another thing, where have you seen Granath, Savilahti or Strålman play? Was just wondering :)

Svensson can be fun to watch. Skates well, never gives up. Could be a Calgary Flame with his game. He is probably on the team because he's close by, but he's a good kid by all accounts.

I've yet to spot Strålman. Granath I've seen once, he was playing well then but I can see how he could struggle when he's not on his game. I'm pretty sure I've also seen Savilahti, but, heh, that doesn't matter much if I can't remember anything about him playing on that occasion.

Finland should've picked Ahlqvist to go with Rask just to balance out Heino and Rautio.
