What can you say.. Grönborg's coaching was absolutely pathetic. Was he double shifting Loui Eriksson at the end of the third? or was he just so slow he never reached the bench.. Kempe + Eriksson 3 on 3, what a disaster.

Maybe Grönborg coached with the "kuddhörna och sagostund på dagis" philosophy that Eriksson would connect a semi competent pass at last, for once and grow his confidence a bit. And maybe even skate faster than a koala on drugs and win a puck battle once in this tournament. And maybe not ice pucks when he tries to clear, or score goals in his own net.

It's just embarrassing, what's even more embarrassing is that Loui definitely would have played better with less ice time. He's old and he looked absolutely gassed.
I usually don't hate on Loui, I actually think he's a good and efficient defensive forward when he gets lower ice time. But to play him in overtime and to give him so much ice time in the 3rd is in-excusable.
Disappointed but not surprised.

He really showed how he embraces the Swedish national coaching tradition to do absolutely nothing during a game. He picks his roster, he draws lines on a board before the game and then he just stands there.
But oh, he switched lines during the OT and did minor changes with like 5 minutes left of the last game. Wow, how bold of him.
It is completely and utterly unfathomable. You can roll six forwards 3vs3. I have a hard time not picking six forwards ahead of Kempe in this game, never mind Eriksson.

That's pathetic. The entire period was played 5 on 5 as well.
We've won two golds with STACKED teams but Grönborg could never get the best out of rosters like this one. There have been some really ugly moments with him on the bench, from the U18 WC to now. Happy he's gone, unfortunately Garpenlöv will probably be more or less the same. The way Grönborg rolled his lines from the 2nd period and on is just inexcusable, that Lander line got hammered every shift.

What I don't get is, Grönborg had a team full of NHLers playing a team almost without NHLers, yet it almost seemed like he stole the game plan Latvia would use against Canada in a best-on-best tournament.

The guy we spoke about before the game to SCRATCH was relied upon about THE MOST by Grönborg. Loui Eriksson, -11 in 9 games. I can't even... I have to stop posting now, I'll have an aneurysm thinking about our genius coach Grönborg. It's like... I can't even find a good comparison to the incompetence. Grönborg did a Grönborg?

So, I'm a bit confused about something.
SVT and Aftonbladet are talking about how Nylander tied the record with 18 points. But earlier on they were talking about 17 points, which fits with pretty much every source I've found, from eliteprospects through older articles and such. Suddenly it's 18 points, a number I only found on a fan site.

He should retire, period. He can't be paid $6m playing for Vancouver with a straight face. That should go under criminal law as fraud. Maybe he could play in the AHL as a 3rd liner with limited ice time, specializing in icing pucks on the PK, although not a good AHL 3rd liner, merely mediocre.
Vancouver shouldn't buy him out, they should bury him in the bottom 6 in the AHL until he understands he sucks.

Me too, until Grönborg put Eriksson on the ice, in a 3 on 3. I still can't believe what I saw.
