Grabovski (Belarus) would have almost certainly made it at center.

Girgensons (Latvia) and Zubrus (Lithuania) may have been able to play a bottom 6 role.

Dallman (Kazakhstan) could have made it on defense as a PP specialist.

Ozolins (Latvia), Antropov (Kazakhstan), Savchenko (Kazakhstan) and Fedotenko (Ukraine) could have all been considered for roles on the squad as well.

What ever happened to Kazakhstan's hockey program? I remember they beat Canada in a World Juniors Placement game one time.

Did they just discontinue the program all together post-Soviet era? They haven't produced an NHL draft pick in about 14 years.

They've always been around the same level, ranked between 19th & 16th since 2007:
