You basically take team Russia, add Pasta, Kopitar, Drai, Hischier, Josi, and you have one of the best teams in the tournament. The only suspect part is the defence.

I tried to sprinkle in some up and comers with the proven stars, Nemec included. Hockey is a young man's game, especially internationally. That was the justification I used for bringing Nemec into the team.

I left Ovechkin off because of the post upthread about it being a young man's game now. Then again, Canada just won the 4 Nations with Crosby on the roster, so what do I know?

Ovechkin with his current goal scoring pace has to be on this team. I'd have had him on Canada's top 6.

Not saying you’re right or wrong ( I think nemec is pushing it) but I find the coaches in these tournaments always opt for the older players. Crosby in 06 etc. would be interesting to see the opposite constructed
