UTAH AXEMEN

There is a history of sawmills and logging in Utah from the 1800's. It offers a lot of unique ideas around brand promotion etc.

Mammoth, Wasatch and HC just don't seem to have a ring to it.

AXEMEN sounds mean but fun and unique all in one.

God we look like a clown show of a franchise and I put this on my conspiracy theory that Smith has a favorite and the fans aren't agreeing with him which is why this has been so weird in general...but who cares, they listened and brought back Outlaws.

It really feels to me like they invested all of their time and energy on Yeti(s) and when they lost that fight they decided they were going to try to rig it for HC because it had some buy in already. It feels obvious to me in the design of the final round of voting: only fans at games (already own HC merch most likely), excluding the second most popular choice from earlier polls in favor of a new name designed to split the non-HC vote.

Obviously the public backlash in support of Outlaws has kind of forced their hand now and I assume it will win out
