Next year I think if we do very well, we can make it into the final again. Two years from now I think we may have serious issues with making it far.

Yes it's next year it has to happen because as you say it's looks bleak after that. You can quite easily see beforehand which age groups will be able to compete or not. If we look at the age groups who has won recently it's only strong age groups except maybe the 94 born who won in 14. They were quite big underdogs beforehand if I remember correctly. The 2016 gold medal team had a lot of underage players but the 96 born was good with some very big names. The same with 2019 gold medal team. And if we look at the team who was one inch away from winning it in 2022 it's kind of the same. To win the WJC you need a special team and I think this age group the 06 born might be it because I think it's fair to say that they are the most talented in a while probably since the 01 or 99 born.

That was a valiant effort from your team. Thought you guys were going to be able to pull off the improbable title that nobody saw coming. Finn’s seem to play their best as underdogs.
In a way, this game was payback for 2019 final, but it still seems to me like Finland is the team that gives us the most trouble in big games, so I’m not sure one win repays all the tough losses we’ve had to you guys over the years.
I know it’s tough to take positives out of a tournament you were one goal from winning, but this was the Finland that people haven’t seen for a few years. If this is the level going forward, it will be a resurgence from what it was looking like the path Finnish hockey was going down.
