I think Finland has a serious chance to win. Seems like a weak than normal year for Canada and the US as the best players for either team (Patrick, Keller) won't be there. Here are just some of the players drafted in the first round in the last two drafts that could be on the team:

Defense, goalies and wingers looks good but centers are bit of a questionmark. Ikonen might be better as winger and Heponiemi has yet to play with the U20's. Luostarinen, Räsänen and Koppanen are more of a two way guys than offensive players.

It's still a long way between here and there, so better options may rear their heads, but if the lineup was to be put together today, I'd say Ikonen and Rasanen are the top-two.

Bottom-two will be less of an issue. Will probably even see competition, as usual.

What would be best way to build Finland's team upcoming ( 2018) world juniors?.
Is it 3 goalies 7 defencemans 13 forwards or 3 goalies 8 defencemans 12 forwards.

U18 team went in Slovakia 3 goalies 8 defencemans and 12 forwards model.
It was risk but risks never realized and Finland won U18 silver medal.

Finland's hockey association isn't updated national team websites so there's not any mention of this years national team events yet.

But Finland's U20 head coach Jussi Ahokas has said Finland will have first U20 national team camp in July.
During U20 national team camp Finland plays two games against Czech Republic in Vierumäki.
And after that Finland's U20 team fly directly to Detroit and plays Plymouth's U20 tournament in early August.

Almari is one candidate to world junior but the competition of roster spots will be hard.
It's likely Finland's world juniors team 2018 is pretty much the same than 2016 U18 gold medal winning team in Grand Forks.
Only difference is that Jesse Puljujarvi will be gone but most 2016 U18 world champions will be in the team.
