Team Canada's new Coach

Despite my wishing for Renney to join the staff in 2010 (and I tend to think he just might given his history with Team Canada), it's probably too early to be pointing fingers. We've seen this type of thing before, and I still believe Canada has the potential to be the best team in this tournament.

Gretzky will coach.

Only after he buys the country... :D

Honestly, if you are a guy on that team, do you really need a good coach to motivate you to win the gold medal? I wouldn't want to return home to that angry mob of Canadians if you came up short. They could have those chimps from the CareerBuilder.com commercials coaching the team...they're talented enough to win the gold regardless.

How come hockey players don't have the same passion as soccer players do?? The brazilian soccer players leave their respective pro teams to play in qualification matches for the world cup even if they are risking injury.
Because the World Cup is THE lifetime goal of all soccer players. Still, I don't think the Canadians don't care about the Olympics. If they didn't care, they could have pretended to be injured like some others and take time off in Hawaii. Canada always is kinda slow at the beginning. Most of the time, the players get better as the tournament advances. Hopefully, this time is no exception.
