Maybe they want defensive 4th lineI just don't understand who they will find better than Horvath, Fantilli, Johnson and Dobson. At the same time, they are considering the candidacies of Myers and Debrask.
Between the young kids and the possibility that St Louis might be out in Round 1, I can see Hockey Canada hedging their bets. Would I be happy if I was a 2nd choice? No but, as a professional, I'd understand. If Kent Johnson, Adam Fantilli, and Bo Horvat haven't been asked yet then what the **** is Dubas doing with his days?
Also, lol at people who think we should hold off on a Bo Horvat invite in case we can do better. Have you guys ever followed the WHC before? Have you seen the slop we have to take year over year to fill out the roster? We can consider ourselves lucky if we don't end up with Mathieu Joseph on the team again.
Horvat is in the mix for the Olympic team. He's a no brainer for this roster, give me a break.
A team with good options like St Louis being knocked out early or better players making themselves available is why you hold off on invites to guys like Casey Cizikas.Between the young kids and the possibility that St Louis might be out in Round 1, I can see Hockey Canada hedging their bets. Having said all that, I agree : Fantilli, Johnson and (to a lesser extent - I'm not a fan) Horvat would be on my team NOW.
I agree and, like I said, if I was in charge ALL 3 would be on my team - even though I am NOT a fan of Horvat. You take those 3 and run right now before they get impatient and make summer plans.

Yeah they presumably are aware that Fantilli or Johnson would be a good addition. I don't think it's necessarily damning that Fantilli and Johnson hadn't been asked by mid day Friday after their team was only eliminated Wednesday night. If they haven't been asked yet then that is likely a problem, but it doesn't seem especially strange that Hockey Canada may have waited until they had their media availability.Yeah, names that leak out now is just kind of random. I don’t think we know the behind the scenes process of making a team like this.
They’re going to get the best players they think they can get.
Who needs those guys when you can have Joseph along with McBain and Bunting c;If Kent Johnson, Adam Fantilli, and Bo Horvat haven't been asked yet then what the **** is Dubas doing with his days?

Evason is the head coach. Huska also on the staff: Columbus Blue Jackets' Dean Evason, Calgary Flames' Ryan Huska to coach Canada at 2025 men's worlds | TSNSo far....it looks decent.
Do we have a coach yet?
Interesting, good find. Evason and Huska is fine I guess, if not inspiring. Not a whole lot of international experience for the two of them, Evason was an assistant last year and Huska was an assistant at a couple of WJC tournaments.Evason is the head coach.
