Good. The coaches suck. The vets suck. Knight has regressed a bit. Soda has regressed. The young forwards aren’t taking a step forward.

Many, most, of us know WHAT is wrong with the team. I am having a hard time figuring out WHY.
Still too country club?
They can't all be low hockey IQ guys, can they?
Sorenson has developed a bunch of guys who made the show while winning, so he's not out of touch.

What do you expect from a team that is a bottom feeder, remember the winning days when young guys were coming up and feeding off that winning energy and excelling immediately? success breeds success, when we have pathetic losers for an owner and a GM then that breeds losers and losing.
I expect them to know their role on the ice, fundamental positioning and awareness does not require the players to be the most skilled on the ice.
They have had stretches where they've dominated and then...poof. Their play away from the puck is painful to watch.

Turns out that trading away all your young talent was not a good way to develop a team I see dumping vets in a rebuild but they went too far cleaning house.

1.They do not score enough to balance out the flaws..
2 .Forwards cannot stay on their checks= too slow? + Too weak/soft/small and/or too lazy,
3.Sloppy passing.
4.Cannit drive pucks to the center high danger slot.
5.Poor hockey I.Q.
6 Not reallyvthat talented (maybe this shoukd be #1?).
7.Too many games where failed to start on tine...other games where failed to show up in 2nd period...and yet other games when they blew leads in 3rd period= verdict:
= seemingly incapable of playing to a consistent high enough level sustained throufh 3 periods of a game...10 minutes to half a game (occasionally that much) is not enough effort to win games..
Conditioning? If so fire the strength and conditioning staff.
To sum up= just a bad team.

I understand your point. This team looks hopeless right now but we all know they will take the next step soon.
I agree with the total rebuild. You need superstars/stars to win in the league. Most of the time they are found at the very top of the draft. This team needed/needs multiple years of drafting in the top 5 in order to win again one day. That wouldn't have happened if we kept Strome, Debrincat and Kane. We would have been drafting around 8 for the past few years had we kept those players. We would have been the Penguins.

Ya sure we all do but it’s deeper than that bud, reality is when the team around you is garbage, you are going no where in the standing and thus playing for nothing but to pad your stars, it’s not the same no matter how much you convince yourself to push, it’s not the same as the push and adrenaline that come naturally when you are having fun and winning…

Well, that didn’t much help. Still spent 70% of the game in the defensive zone. Can’t get the puck, and if they have it, can’t break it out. If they manage to get to the offensive zone, can’t keep it there.
All the video review in the world isn’t going to help this team right now. They’re mentally broken.

I don't disagree - but it's supposed to be pro's like Foligno, Murphy, & Dickinson wearing letters along with the Coaching staff that help motivate and put guys in a position where they get to go out, compete, and hopefully have some fun even if they come out on the wrong end of the W/L. I've watched plenty of teams that loved playing spoiler even if they was a LOFT. We've got a bunch of guys who should be thrilled to have the opportunity to play at the NHL level (and collect an NHL paycheck). Seems like the young d-men are "handling" that better from watching - but that's just IMO and YMMV.
Love Hagel and his "dog", skill....putting up career #'s again......the question remains whether the combination of Oliver Moore and Sacha Boisvert is better ....we'll find out in time, but I guarantee Hagel wouldn't be as productive on this Blackhawks team.
