Voted gracyn sawchyn…. Not because i know anything of these players.

I voted for him because of his name.

It just screams entitled, soft, pampered country club style person. One that wont get dirty or go the physical areas.

Aka a NYR.

Well, I was thinking that for weeks. That's for speaking it out.

I just wanna hear Sam Rosen say "Daniil But"

The masses of sorely disappointed America's when they figure out the name is pronounces like "boot" and not the thicc

I was torn between Heidt, Sale, and Sawchyn here. Heidt and Sale have the highest skill remaining, and the way Heidt carved up the WHL is somehow being overlooked. Sale went into this draft year as a potential top-10 talent, and I still think that player is in there somewhere. If it breaks right for him, he's potentially one of the best forwards in this entire draft.

Sawchyn fits more of what Drury loves, and despite the bad Memorial Cup (which he was reportedly dealing with a broken hand/wrist), he's still in line for a massive role change next year once Seattle's top guys move on. Can't really blame them for slotting him down the lineup with how someone like Davidson was playing and how Lambert turned on another gear after coming over.

Trade down, but would probably go Honzek based on how this fell. I also would be happy with Sawchyn and maybe Heidt here but don’t think either get the votes

the fact that Gulyayev was taken right before us makes this very believable.

I went with Stenberg because it sounds like a Drury player

I honestly dont know if i could even root for Gracyn Sawchyn. Having a good name is very important on my list of why i root for a player. Every time i hear this name i automatically think George Carlin would not approve.

Carlin would bet any amount of money that Vinny, Joey, and Bobby would beat the snot Todd, Kyle, and Tucker. Lmao

Between Sale and Honzek for me and I went with Honzek. It's a coin flip though. Would I consider trading down? Depends of course on what we get back.....if it's another 1st with a 2nd and/or early 3rd/4th that would probably do it. If we dropped into the 2nd--I'd want an early 2nd ++.

There are a bunch of guys still on board that I like quite a lot including Heidt, Bonk, Ziemmer, Stenberg, Gautheir and Brindley.

I wouldn't touch Sale with a 50 ft. Pole. The lack of interest in backchecking and his invisibility when the puck goes the other way, scream entitled one-dimensional scorer to me. Don't need another one of those.

Sawchyn's tape isn't anything special imo. And I totally agree, whackest name possible. I cringe when a read the first name.

Heidt is a great player, one of the smartest in the o-zone in this draft, but I just can't with the size. Dudes a midget and his skating isn't exceptional either. But damn his offense is something

Pls, for the love of God, someone help me with stenberg, he's the most bland, small, non eye popping prospect of the early lot.
Honestly, I feel like you underrate him a bit and I overrate him a bit. As I do with prospects sometimes.

I feel like he could be an impact player, but this year I feel like there are going to be a lot of potentially high impact players available, so it's going to be fun.

Unless we go crazy off the board.
