Weird to see Dragicevic leading our poll even though he didn't get a single vote on any other teams board.

I'm all aboard the Dragicevic train. We can afford a bit of a bigger swing at 18 and need some high end D with size. Has solid skating, can carry, makes great passes, PP QB and will join the rush, high offensive IQ.

I think he's impressive on the backend for a kid who played forward his entire life before switching to defence in the Dub. And eventually playing at the U18's. Kids essentially been playing Foward until 2021, so only been on D for 2 full seasons now. So slight chance we have another Buff here in the way that he can be a forward or a D.

Has a lot to work on in the defensive zone but he has some interesting tools with his physicality and stick work so there is a lot to work with there just needs some seasoning.

IMO he's neither fast nor has a particularly big shot. In fact he has some major issues with his skating stride that he'll need to overcome. This could be seen as an opportunity instead of a liability since he still gets around the ice surprisingly well, but I still think fixing his skating issues are a requirement for him to be a legit NHL player.

OTOH I do have a soft spot for players who can put up points without relying on obvious physical tools as it tends to suggest they are succeeding thanks to teamwork and hockey IQ which are a lot harder to teach and fix then something like skating.

I think he has some "interesting" mechanics and given some time and work he can ammend those and make his skating much better. He obviously has the legs for it as he generates enough power with sub-standard mechanics.

He's got a really great wrister and can get it off in tight spaces. He's no Matthews but he's got some skill there. His slapper can be pretty heavy but he generally shoots for rebounds and tips which honestly seems to pay off more anyways.

For reference Korchinski who had huge question marks defensively in his D season, scored less points, didn't lead his team in points, and is a LHD rather than RHD was drafted 7th overall last year. Dragicevic is pretty much better in every regard except skating than Korchinski.

This really is quite the draft year. I'm sold.

Jets fans are pretty smart when it comes to prospects, yourself included. That's interesting tidbit for sure. I think most here see the value of a RD with size and offense that may only need experience.

Not to mention he has a pretty cool last name.

Would go well alongside these long surnames, DiVincentiis and Salomonsson.

Dragicevic I bet goes higher. The RHD are gonna be gone by 18. I feel there's a run on D somewhere, Jets gonna go forward
I doubt Dragicevic goes that high. At least 3 RHD seem likely to go before him..

So what you are saying is collectively we are going off the Board (HF that is).

It drove me nuts because I had a list of 3 D men I really wanted around our pick and one that I wanted no part of. Bean was not on either list but McAvoy Chychrun and Fabbro were all D prospects I really wanted. Watching them drop 1 by one 1 was the reverse feeling I had with Connor Barzel, Nylander Ehlers, and Perfetti.

He's definitely a bit "off the board", though most have him in the first round (including McKenzie).

Different then HF, obviously but I think there are differences from general scouting opinions as well. There seems to be a sentiment here that he has a high offensive upside, but most scouting reports are critical of his offensive skills. He's generally considered to have below average puck skills and an average shot to go along with his skating issues.

I like the fact that he produces a lot of points in the CHL without relying on any obvious physical tools, I think that suggests a high hoceky IQ that will translate into a good defensive D-man at the NHL level, but he's more Dylan DeMelo than Josh Morrissey.
