Team 16 2024 2025

Wouldn’t it be a big surprise if Vestman, Forsman and Wahlén took a spot when none of them were on the elite camp?

S. Karlsson, Oskar Mivell, Sigge Linge, Tom Pråhl, Manne Nyström or William Olofsson should be in line for a spot on the rooster.

S.Karlsson, Nyström and Olofsson definitely in contention, though at least Forsman and Wahlén should be as well. Andersson Jöhnk should be thought higher of than Mivell and Pråhl imo.

this would be my forward group:

L.Karlsson - D.Aspe - O.Sundberg
O.Zetterstedt - M.Sundström - F.Wahlén
M.Nyström - M.Forsell - V.Nygren
W.Jöhnk - W.Olofsson - T.Pråhl
S.Karlsson

14 new players, No Eklund Aspe or Sundberg. Eklund Aspe is probably injured but no Sundberg is odd maybe. Törnqvist and Wahlén added

L Karlsson - Sundström - Wahlén

What's the current view of this age group? It's early of course and only a few games against Finland last month but it seemed like the Finns were better in those games, even close to dominant at times. Is this a weaker group as of right now or are the Finns looking like they have a very strong one?

Yea, but i have a feeling that our age group is kinda weak. Maybe not on 06 level but we will see. Sundström, Eklund Aspe among forwards, Johnsson among D. Many new guys are being tested this february tourney

Opinions on letting Wilson Boumedienne (2010) participate in U17 camp this summer?

First time ever they let an underaged player be part of this camp? If the National Team GMs son can participate, there are probably more 2010 players that should be part of it..... Open up a can of worms here?

Why not stick with 2009-players?

Nils Ekman being the U16 coach last season potentially playing a big part of this decision, and yes he is best friends with Boumedienne SR :cool:

Spelkvist should also get an invite to the U17 camp, i think that the 09 age group is not that weak like i initially thought but apart from Sundström and probably Eklund Aspe it lacks top forward prospects. I havent seen Boumedienne in action but he had 160 points in 58 games this season and he seems highly rated. Spelkvist is more dynamic and skilled than any other 09 in my opinion.

Spelkvist will probably get an invite in december instead of now but its positive that Boumedienne is there atleast
