Crazy. Tampa going all in. One of these seasons they are going to implode and someone is getting a top 10 pick from them. Can’t say they aren’t aggressive and successful though.

Hagel for Katchouk and Taylor Raddysh + 2 picks, Paul for Mathieu Joseph and a fourth, getting Coleman, Goodrow, and Savard and IMMEDIATELY winning the Cup, got McDonagh for a third, let Stamkos walk to get Guentzel, traded Sergachev for Moser and Geekie.

But how's that trade working out for Nashville?
I know nothing about Nashville.

Tampa don't give a f*** about draft picks lol I respect it

The nice thing is, if they ever do implode and want to do a full reset, they can sell Point, Cirelli, Vasi, etc and recoup all of these picks and prospects.

So it makes sense to try and win as much as you can now.

The 2026 and 2027 1st rounders would, in a best case scenario, impact the team when? 2029 or 2030? So yeah, from their perspective, who cares if they can get another Cup.

Well, this is an insane trade. Tampa continues to be obsessed with former players.

They've always hated draft picks (for the last decade anyways). I like this for them.

Tampa is going for it. Makes sense with Kucherov, Hedman, and Vasilevskiy at their current ages. They acquired two players that will likely be with the team as more than rentals.

Yeah. I think you have lost me as your audience now. Bjorkstrand even without retention is worth a good bit. That's not even considering the increasing cap. You obviously have a very different opinion on Bjorkstrand than a lot of others do.
Cool, I don't really care.

Bjorkstrand was traded as basically a cap dump, and hasn't improved in a way that say Granlund has to rehab his value to that of a top prospect. He's a fine 2nd liner, but those are a dime a dozen every July 1. His significant value comes with retention as I've suggested right along.
