He's better at W and pretty much one at this point. Can just focus on bringing his lunch pail and playing a north/south game. Great shot suppression winger who helps tilt the ice, he might not do much with it when he gets there, but he's gonna help win shifts and eat some mins.

Gus kills play in a way that is a superpower. Teams need guys who kill the opposition off even if they don’t generate much. Wish him well, it was a long and rough time to be a Sabre.

Gus always fit that blue collar, hardworking vibe many Sabres fans love. It's a shame he had to suffer through the worst years the franchise has had, because he would have fit right in to those 90's era teams.

Also, he has a song dedicated to him and few athletes can say that.
