If you need to prevent your HC from making dumb decisions by removing problematic faves from the roster, that's bad enough. But having to put guiderails in place for the FO is just a gigantic red flag.

Listen everybody knows if the other team gets an odd man rush, a breakaway, or if someone is standing with 18ft of the crease, your goalie simply has to surrender the goal. It's tough luck. I gotta bring those feel good vibes in here.

The team is on the downswing because their core got old. Happened to the Wings, happened to the Sharks, and it's happening to us. We are at the "just be happy when they win, don't bother feeling bad if they don't" phase.

We’ve got a top 10 goal scoring wing. We’ve got a 1C in the top 20. We’ve got multiple 20 pt D.

What exactly do you expect the rebuild to garner?

If we get another player comparable to Jake and Letang that’s a once in the life time draft for most franchises.
