It can both be true that the Pens should have managed better than two goals on 30+ shots and that TJ should be able to do better than 3 on 15 or whatever.

Everyone in the building knew that Kucherov was scoring on that breakaway. There was a time where a Pens goalie comes up with a big save there to get them to OT at least. Maf used to have that in him. Murray for a little while. Vokoun.

As far as this game goes the Pens played hard and deserved better but their goaltending sucks and they're obviously going to have trouble scoring goals with the lineup they're icing right now.

TJ and Ned need to be difference makers when the Pens are icing this sort of lineup but they're not. They're bad.

I don't think they played well enough to the point where they deserved better. They did well enough to limit Tampa's overall amount of chances, but they gave up some really good opportunities. They also artificially inflated their performance with a lot of mediocre shots.

Same recipe as the last few years.

This is a mediocre team. They're going to win some games they probably shouldn't and lose games they shouldn't. Dubas will do what he planned to do from the start of the season and trade whoever he can at the deadline.

EDIT: And Jarry is trash. Fine with him as the tank commander for the rest of the year. Maybe Ned pulls his head out of his rear for long enough to be somewhat tradeable at the deadline for a desperate team.
