Pens with great pressure, 24 and 53 both miss the net on great chances. Bolts bury their chance on a counterattack.
 
Lol Jarry. Organization is a travesty for continuing this charade with him and Ned. Waive both of them and call up Larsson and Blom. At the very least Jarry.

These guys are unequivocally the worst goalies in the league.

All the Penguins do is miss the net. Especially Letang, who hits the net maybe 1 out of 1000 shots.

We are also at a point where every on Line 2 and Line 3 tonight is fighting to say where they are at. Of utmost importance is not getting scored on. You think any of them are going to take a risk that might lead to a goal? Lol, no. Super low event hockey and if you get the safe chance, they'll take it.

But then they can show Sullivan how responsible they are.
 
Not to defend Jarry but the Pens having 1 goal on 21 shots is a much bigger reason they are losing.

Tampa hasn't put up a bunch of shots in the 2nd, but they have dominated the flow of the game. The Pens can't put 2 good periods in a row together.

Quality, not quantity, combined with bad goaltending.

It's 17-14 Lightning in terms of scoring chances (in all scenarios) per Natural Stat Trick, yet 8-3 Pens in high danger attempts. Lightning are capitalizing on their opportunities. Pens are throwing the puck at the net and then not burying their handful of good looks.

Lightning have 3 high danger shot attempts in all scoring scenarios and have two goals. Jarry can still be better.

Problem is our goaltending lets in chances that aren't even high danger. That said the inept offense is still more of an issue tonight.
 
Boy, didn't see that coming.

That's just a flat out bad miss by Jarry.

1st one, meh. 2nd one, 110% on Jarry. He missed a shot from between the top of the circle and the blue line. Not a hard shot to stop for the average goalie.

Those are the types of goals that are causing the team to lose. Jarry needs wins, not sv% or GAA. Letting ones like that in do not lead to Ws.

It's not like other teams don't have quality players or anything.
