Care to share some stats? Eye-test has looked good.

Mostly his rates, he is on the ice for 1.8 GA/60 and 4.2 GF/60. Mcdavid is on for 3.1 against, and 5.2 GF. Barkov is on for 4.4 against and 6.2 for.

Drai plays with the worst wingers, and has the greatest difference between his for/against, and has the best raw number. Shows what I've seen, that he is more assertive in tilting the ice in our favour, through all 200 ft.

Looking back through some historically great defensive centers, the only two I've found with a same or better GA/60 rate were Bergeron and Datsyuk. I'm sure there is more, that was just checking some names off the top of my head.

I think skating directly at a player from up the ice and hitting a guy square in the head is the definition of malicious intent. Of course NHL rules being what they are... it's random what actually is called a suspension/penalty.

Leaving his skates really seals it too. He could have laid a devastating body hit but he jumped into the head. That’s not an accident.

He’s just not that guy. He sucks.

But I think people do want a charismatic personality that’s maybe a bit rough around the edges. Basically a modern Don Cherry. It takes a unique person to do that well though.
