Do we really want two Carrier contracts? We’ll see how much of a discount he gives us for term.I have a different view on this: it entirely depends on the cap hit. If it's structured like the Staal contract, a below-market cap hit in exchange for term, I'd be OK with a 4 year deal.
Signing oft injured players to long term contracts feels like a match of “play stupid games…win stupid prizes”. Hall is playing great but he’s also busting his ass to win that contract. He doesn’t care where he plays, he showed that with the Buffalo choice.
