There is something to be said for stability. JT got a big pay day already and is living and playing in his ideal setting. I wouldn't be surprised if he takes a paycut to stay with Toronto.

I think we agree. Tavares wants to stay in TO. The Leafs know they need him. He will get 24 mil stretched out over 4-5 years to lower the yearly cap allocation.
Where we disagree is that Domi could replace Tavares’s minutes.
