him and Thomas have been fantastic together. his (Vladi) aim is still a tad off, but once he gets that figured out.. look out

his release and velocity are back to awesome, his skating is very good and he's been good at taking the body on the forecheck

been a lot of fun to watch this year. IF he leaves, I'll be sad to see him go. but lots of smiles and hugs this year tho.. even from Schenn who supposedly has a 'tepid' attitude towards Vladi (the others that supposedly had a problem with Vladi are already gone (Petro/Schwartz))
First I have heard of dressing room drama. What was there supposed problem with him?

I've never heard any issues between Tarasenko and Pietrangelo or Schwartz. There were rumors about Schenn having an issue with Tarasenko not giving it 100% on every shift tho.

A source had mentioned he doesn't want to be with the Blues anymore and it will never be mended.

I think he ends up in Anaheim, they have the space and he'd look good with Zegras and Milano.

don't need RHD

Only LHD we have are Maatta, Bjornfot, and Anderson. Not sure how much they'll help this season. I think Tarasenko would be a killer player for Kaliyev to model his game after and learn from though.

Kempe - Kopitar - Tarasenko
Iafallo - Danault - Kaliyev

That was early in the past off season. He seems perfectly happy now. No one knows if the trade request is still even out there. Based on the success he has had this season it very well could be he has no interest in leaving

In the off season the ask was more than what anyone was willing to offer. Now that the season is well underway the ask is probably more than what it was before the season started.

If there's one thing the Kings are good at, it's trading for aging wingers with injury histories. Let's make a deal.

Wasn't the idea of him leaving STL mutual?

Rumor was he was offended that he didn't receive the C? Not sure if it was the time Piet got it or recently when ROR got it (or both).

Perhaps a Blues fan can chime in on this.

Romor is he was upset RoR got the C not Petro

The idea of him leaving was never mutual. Tank wanted out due to his medical issues and the Blues basically told him he is staying until someone offers what the Blues feel is acceptable. If the Blues wanted him gone he likely would have been traded in the offseason.

Translation error. It was that he was more surprised than offended that he nor Schwartz were picked even tho they were there the longest.

I'm still a fan of Vilardi. Others I also like besides the obvious prospects not being traded are Kupari, Pinelli and Grans. Some combination of Vilardi +1 of the above would be what I'd be looking for.

Not roster players, but we could use some RD prospects. Is Helge Grans untouchable?

For a contributing Tarasenko, Grans is certainly not untouchable. The only real untouchables at this point are Byfield, Turcotte, and Clarke. Not sure how the cap would work out, Maatta and Athanasiou might have to go back the other way. Both guys have only one year left on their contracts though and could be useful in depth roles.

Next year, I would love to see:

Turcotte - Kopitar - Tarasenko
Kempe - Danault - Kaliyev
Iafallo - Byfield - Arvidsson

It was mentioned a little while back on Friedman and Marek's podcast that he heard that the rumors about Tarasenko being upset about not getting the C are not true, and I tend to agree with him. Tarasenko doesn't love giving interviews or talking to the press, so I can't imagine him sitting at the podium after every game and answering reporters' questions.

Now is it possible that he didn't get along with all of his teammates? It's possible. Tarasenko strikes me as a quiet guy who would rather keep to himself, but he isn't a primadonna who expects special treatment. I honestly think the trade request is all about how his medical situation was handled and nothing more.

Schenn needs to worry about his own play, imo.

that being said, of the 3, he's the only one that would even look at Vladi or congratulate him after a score. Schwartz's body language was very telling
