This guy can really fly. I believe he adds an extra dimension to the team that we really haven't had for a while now. He is creating chances in this series which we didn't see in the first two games. I personally observed him in the two games here and his energy level is off the charts. Racing, hitting, going after loose pucks in the corners, this guy really is doing it all right now. And he isn't getting the credit he deserves.

Last night, he basically surprised everyone by racing to that puck meandering into the Sharks' zone and not only created a scoring chance but getting an assist on the first goal, setting the stage for a Kings' win. That second line, with Carter and Toffoli, is really beginning to cook.

I see great things in Tanner Pearson's future. Very impressed. :)

The kid is F-ing money, Cater has found his speedy line. With Richards seemingly dropping off in play i'm glad "that 70's" line meshes so well. Split this line up and I may have to hurt someone.

Putting him on that line with Carter and TT was a great move. Their speed and play have really complemented each other. Hopefully they keep it up. I wouldn't be surprised to see more of that line next year.

I think the best part is that now with TT and Pearson clicking with Carts the team got a depth upgrade that was needed against the Sharks.

He definitely looks like he belongs with this team.
good to have that speedy dimension and he holds his own when it comes to the physical nature of playoff-hockey.

Can't split that line up... they've always been successful... richards on the 4th line please.

Another one of the young kids that I overhyped who is starting to show his salt. That and TT with his 2nd GWG.

Garbage, never going to amount to much, neither of them.

;)

The '70s Line. I like it.

TG, I'm really happy to see the homegrown talent produce!

Said a prayer for Vlasic. Hate to see anyone get a head injury or any type of injury.

Well you also hyped Maxim Kitsyn ;)

But I'll give you TT for sure, you were all over him even before the Kings drafted him.

Tanner's game has been, IMO, night and day when he is paired with Toffoli.

They should never be broken up. Great chemistry together.

Monumentally stupid of Sutter not to play him the first two games. He underwhelmed me quite a bit his first handful of games, but man, he looks completely different out there now. His speed is certainly a welcome addition.

I think the 70's line will be our second line next year. I think Sutter finally realized it's time to take the training wheels off Pearson and Toffoli and they have looked good playing with Carter.

Who knows though, lets not forget that Carter and TT looked good in the playoffs last year and TT didn't even make the team out of camp.

He's been awsome. He's looking like a real steal for a guy that was passed over and than picked 30th overall. Kudos to Dean, the scouting staff, and the people involved in his development and especially Pearson for dedicating himself.

I will taper my expectations, Pearson is still a kid.

So is Toffoli, they have speed and skills, but still.

Toffoli for all his skill still only potted 12 goals in 62 games and Pearson will also struggle next year just like all rookies do.

Keep up the good work kids.

Since when has Toffoli been known as a fast skater? If anything, his skating was always the question mark. With Pearson, he has great acceleration and has better than average speed, but I wouldn't say he's a fast skater.

I still think that Max has a solid shot at the NHL but those years of getting bent over in the K really set him back. That said I can live with Max not making it if that happens. I was wrong so far on Kozun too.
;)

Yes, but over half of those games were in the 3rd line and no one was producing
in the bottom 6. He also had 15 goals this year in 18 games in Manchester. So 27
this year. He will score 25+ a year, here on out, as he plays top 6 minutes. 12 goals with little to no PP time is not horrible on this team.

Pearson is fast and making things happen. His shot is pretty heavy and has a good release. Think he is here to stay now.

If I remember correctly, the knock on Toffoli during the draft was his skating.

TG, atleast you are admitting to the guys you didn't get right.:) I'm afraid Kozun will be no more than a spare parts/"cup of coffee" call up type guy who can be a productive AHL player.

Most people only boast about getting the ones correct they projected for success.

This is true. He then worked with a power skating instructor after the draft. His skating
is fine now. He may never have elite speed, not many do. His skating is not an issue.
He has also been pretty good on the boards. 2 Sharks were on him on the boards in game 4 and he came out with the puck. Was impressed. Has made some great passes too.

So do you guys figure they'll sign Gaborik? I am not sure what he's looking for but he's 32 so hopefully he'll drop his expectations a bit. Having him with Kopi and either Brown or Williams and then the 70s line would be most awesome.

I think we will sign Gaborik, and probably for a little bit of a pricey contract. He isn't going to take much of a discount, but knows he is no longer worth $7.5m. I predict he will lock in at around $6.5m per year for 3 years or so, and I have a feeling Dean is willing to pay it. Gaborik just offers a whole new dynamic for our offense and I don't think we can go back to coping without it.
