This price is due to the injury. There is no way a healthy Pearson would have been worth less then King/Lewis. Pearson in 42 games with 12 goals still has the 6th highest on the team, currently beating out King/Lewis with more then 20 less games then each.

The injury had nothing to do with it.

Ryan Johansen and Jayden Schwartz set the market for bridge deals.

3.0 million for a 60 point 30g dominant Center (Johansen)

2.0 million for a 25g 50p winger (Schwartz)

Both coming off ELC, and 21 to 22 years of age.

Thinking if the Kings don't purchase any UFA from Toffoli, he will come right in around 2.2 million. If the Kings do buy some UFA from Toffoli, he will get more AAV. Probably around 3.5 million.

Tyler Toffoli will be 23 years of age to start next season. That is the start of his Prime Production years.

If I was Lombardi, I would purchase at least one UFA year. That ensures the Kings get Toffoli at a good price, through all of his Prime production age.

But but but on the main boards they said that he was going to get at least $3m per! Good signing at a good rate. Now he can stay healthy and prove himself next season. Happy to see him signed.
