The worst part for me is that Jeannot is a talentless hack and losing him doesn't hurt the Kings at all. There should be a team punishment for having bums like this on your roster and letting them run amok on star players.

probably a game or two tops. The one thing that makes this hit a lot less dangerous is that at least Jeannot didn’t explode into the hit. It looks like it barely glances Boeser. I think Boeser will be fine. There was pretty much no real exploding into the hit more than a glancing blow.

Thankfully, there aren't a lot of hits like this to compare too. But I'd say this is worth a 5 game suspension, give or take a bit based on Jeannot's history.

But I honestly don't trust the DOPS to get it even close to right. If they stuck with the one automatic game, I wouldn't be shocked.

I’m not sure what the “debate” is here. It’s a terrible, careless hit.

People start talking about “dirty” and go get lost in the forest of the player’s personality, history, etc. it really doesn’t matter. There is no way you can let that kind of easily avoidable play pass without serious punishment.

Blindside hits are legal.

This hit was illegal because the head was the main point of contact and such contact to the head was avoidable
I don’t see the head as main point of contact. I have more of an issue of him coming from his blindside. May be legal but it’s still a predatory hit.

Such an easy hit to not make. Hasn't Boeser had concussion issues? They need to start sitting dudes for half a year that target the head. At least do it so the NHLPA has to come out and defend headshots or agree with the precedent.

Late, blindside, head was targeted.

Absolute bonehead play by an absolute bonehead.
Respectively, you can't get into the head of Jeanott to say for ceratin that the head was the intended target...I think he was looking to hit someone anyone and it happened to be Boeser that is his role...for Boeser's sake I hope he's not feeling the effects of a concussion
