No clue. I do not dig deep and long enough to know who are the best candidates to sign him in FA.

At the TDL, I'd like to see him go to someplace like Winnipeg or LA in the West and Carolina or New Jersey in the East.

In FA? Most money/longest term, whichever team that winds up being
put him on the canes

Tank? Didn’t you trade him to the Rags?

If you wanted to “tank”, should have kept Vladi Cancersenko. Damn you Army, damn you! Lol

Tuna Boat Hard, No Bedard For You!

Tuna Boat’s down for making the playoffs! Who’s with us?

Barbie needs to cash in this summer. This is his moment. He should take the best offer.

I agree. I was just giving reason on why Blues maybe haven't offer him anything. He may be wanting way more than Blues want to offer. I think Blues wouldn't offer more than about Saad money to him, and Barbie might want over 5+ mill.

I hate to start getting excited and set myself up for disappointment, but man, the Western Conference is not very good. I'm starting to think we've got a legitimate chance to make a run to the playoffs here, and once there, it's really anybody's ballgame in the West.

We are still 6 points back and would have to catch at least 3 teams, playoffs aren't happening, and Army will still commit to trading the UFAs.

The takeaway with how bad the West is, a quick retool is very much a viable thing. I don't think it'll take that much for us to be back into the playoffs.

6 back with nearly 30 games left? I mean I get it, I would rather punt the season because of how deep this draft is but we haven’t had this type of issue in a number of years and we shouldn’t accept losing no matter where we are in the standings. It’s a losers attitude. Try to make the playoffs.

Yeah, try and make the playoffs, but I don't think Army is going to pull a 180 after moving Tarasenko. This group isn't going on a run in the playoffs. If I'm Army, I still make trades or extensions that I was planning on, and then hope the group still has fight in them to do something.

I'm not so sure they couldn't go on a run in the playoffs if they carry the momentum of a strong second half. There's not a single team in the West that should be feared.

They've looked completely different the last 3 games.

We beat the terrible Coyotes in OT, who were coming off the back end of a B2B, and the first game was also in OT. That's a very light win.

We beat a bad Florida team on the back end of a B2B, which also had the first game go into OT. That's another light win.

The Devils win was a genuinely good win.

I'm glad they are playing better, but that is nowhere near the level needed to beat Dallas, Winnipeg, or Colorado in a best of 7.

Fair points about the quality of the wins.

It’s remarkable how different the team looks tho. Like, win or lose, I like the way they’re playing right now. I don’t think it has to do with Tarasenko being a cancer or bad guy, but the trade seems to have woken guys up and they are playing better individually…but more importantly they are playing a MUCH better team game.

Tiny sample size and I still think this is probably a lost season. But it’s encouraging to see them not going quietly into the night!

I feel like we had a previous stretch where we though the tank was cancelled. I'm glad they are showing some fight and pride, and not just withering away. I'd be way more concerned about our future if they just folded on the ice. I hope they do sneak into the playoffs, but like when we traded Stastny, I seriously doubt that Army is under the impression that they can actually make a run in the playoffs.

I do think ROR being with preferred linemates, Schenn fitting with Thomas/Kyrou, and having an identity 3rd line helps. I think the long break helped the coaches be able to implement some changes. I think it's possible that we recovered to a point where we are actually playing like a bubble team, but we aren't to Dallas/Winnipeg/Colorado tier.

I'm actually less confident in that because the teams coming back will be even stronger once they get their footing. It's easy these next couple years, but beyond that we're going to have to worry about these full tanking teams like Az, Chicago, & San Jose beginning their competitive windows.

Once you get in anything can happen. If 2019 has taught us anything it should be that.

Yeah, but teams like Calgary will fall back even more, Edmonton if McDavid/Draisaitl walk like they should, etc. The tanking teams should get better, and the West could turn into a bloodbath, but I'm not too worried about it until those teams successfully rebuild.

the only trades that should be made in terms of additions should be if they are UFA's who will commit to signing with us before a trade or players on good contracts

Can't disagree with any of the first three statements but I disagree with the last. Colorado hasn't been impressive at all to me this season. Stars and Jets are strong teams but if this three game stretch is indeed an indication of a turnaround, I think we can most definitely compete in a 7-game series with those squads.

What remains to be seen is if this was just a 3 game mirage. Time will tell.

This. This with bells on. We'll never know what happened in Army's office, but on the ice Vova was stand-up. In the community, he was a man.

And as for the wake-up, I also agree. Sometimes you can't pin down what exactly the deal was/is and I can live with that.

The interesting thing though is we always play well without Tarasenko. If we go back and look at the times he missed with all of his injuries, it seems like we’ve always had a winning record.

I do not believe this is a coincidence.
